Went to Asda on Tuesday and bought a bottle of Angove's Bear Crossing 2005 Cabernet Shiraz - reduced from £3.00 to £2.00. Really nice light fruity wine - so I went back on Wednesday and bought another 12 bottles. It was £24 so not quite the Tesco's bargain - but if its there you can buy it and there were loads of boxes piled up by the door in my local Asda. You can recognise it as it is in a green bottle with a red label and has a yellow square on the front with a Koala Bear. Its a screw top bottle (which I prefer) but I think this means you have to drink the whole bottle fairly quickly within a few days (shame but I'm sure I'll manage). The label says that Angove's Bear Crossing wines help the Australian Koala Foundation in raising funds....to save the Koala. Drink up for a good cause!!

Happy Shopping.
The fact that the wine is a fund raiser is probably why Asda are selling it at a loss. Its good for their environmental credentials.0 -

Went to ASDA yesterday (Sat) and found "RENAISSANCE" - A French Classic Red from the Sichel family - wine producers for five generations - reduced from £3.28 to £1.50
Bought 12 bottles and with a helpful cashier and a few coupons paid just £7.50 - just 62.5p a bottle !
And it's not a bad drop either !
There should be a White as well (possibly reduced ONLY to £2) but sold out where I am -
