Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Only for Sky HD/Q TV and broadband, Stream & Glass will still have any minimum term contracts in place. Sky lost their claim that they could include old HD & Q boxes in with Stream & Glass.

A rolling contract is simply one that's outside of minimum term, so she's already paying far too much and can leave giving 30 days notice.
Go back over the last couple of pages and see what's possible. Cancellations are usually the best place to start but she may have to actually ask for a cancellation to get a decent deal.

BTW, Sky are including Disney+, shortly followed by HBO Max and then Hayu into the base package for free from next month. I'm just off to check what happens with my existing Disney+ sub.
Edit:-
Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu are included as standard for customers with Sky Stream and Sky Glass Ultimate TV and Sky Q customers who have Sky Signature and Sky Entertainment packages only
‘£15 worth of streaming apps each month’: based on RRP of Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads and Hayu.

2nd Edit: it looks like you can't transfer an active Disney+ account to your Sky yet, it'll be sometime in March.

Is anybody planning on trying to haggle a deal based on this new position taken by Sky or do you think it would mean a flat out cancellation only?
Cheers

Certainly can't hurt but given the new stuff being added I'm not sure you'll have much success, it might depend on how long you have left.

Anyone having any luck with haggling after cancellation currently?
I've been through 30 days notice and indeed service switched off yesterday (am still on old Sky HD). Got a text to call the winback team and did so but offers don't seem anywhere as competitive as I've seen before and indeed elsewhere on the net.
I've got signature and sky sports (including sports hd). Best price winback would do was £38. I was offered £37 before it cancelled! Or offered essentials for £15 (which I know you can get for £5-7). And then a £20 admin fee on top. None of it was moveable at all. Very different to the past.
Curious to know if anyone else has had the same thing or indeed what else right now is being offered. Conscious only a few months ago there were some much stronger offers available!
Looks like it might be time to leave Sky after many years!

If you do recontract ask them does the price rise in April or will it stay that price until next year.
Sky I think now let you leave early if prices rise and you are on Sky Q and older products but not Stream.
If your on the old Sky digi box maybe the price is high so you ditch it and take up stream instead.

Sky HD & Sky Q you can give notice to leave. Sky Stream & Sky Glass, you can't (unless out of minimum term obviously).
