Thanks @Mister_Saxon + everyone else for the help!

I let my Sky TV cancel as suggested + the gamble paid off.

I only have Sky Signature + Sky Sports + was paying £36 a month.

I called a day after cancellation and was offered £58.  This was more than the pre-cancellation offers.  The lowest offer I got pre-cancellation was £51.50.

I called Day 3 or 4 after cancellation but used the number provided in the return box and managed to keep the same package for £38 (they added Sky Cinema for no extra cost) + £10 admin charge.

I probably could have haggled my way out of the admin charge but at this point I had spent a total of 3+ hours on the phone with them pre-cancellation (as I kept getting cut-off and would have to call back + hold  before getting put through to someone who would have to put me through to someone else...)...

And while on the "winback" call the agent said he had a technical issue so someone else would have to call me to finish off the process… so did not want to prolong the whole negotiation/winback palaver any longer than I had to... :)

To confirm - no HD ??
  • I've just had another failed live chat attempt with the win-back team. Wouldn't budge from £42 for Signature/Sports. I was offered £38 on the phone last month after cancelling, so on principle I couldn't accept. They didn't try and sell me Stream and Glass this time. I may well give up now and look for alternatives. They must be losing a lot of subscribers and long-term ones like myself. Not sure what their business model is now.

nice deal. How much is signature, no hd  ?
    Here is the breakdown:

    Sky Signature - £24
    Sky Sports - £7
    Sky Cinema - £5
    Sky Sports HD - £2

    £38 = Total

I didn't actually look at the breakdown till now.
I was told I had the option of either £38 to keep the same package (Sky Signature + Sky Sports) or £38 with Sky Cinema - I assumed Cinema was free...  I guess I'll be hit with the price hike on each item in April or at renewal...

OK guys - I'm 2 days away from disconnection.

This was the deal I was offered before I disconnected:
    Signature £24.50
Sky Sports Complete, including Sky Sports+ Pack in HD £22
    Sky HD £5
    Sky (Q) Multiscreen £9
Sky Ultimate TV Boost to Netflix Premium without Ads £13.99
    TOTAL £74.49

During the 30 day period I was offered the deal above but with signature £1 more making it £75.49

I'm not sure I am going to be very popular if everything goes off over the weekend so what should I be looking to get as a deal if I speak to their team on chat today?

    Just let it go off.

Call them after disconnection and see what they offer.

Look at the posts above yours and you will see what others have got.

OK, thanks - they have just offered Sky Signature, Sky Sports, Sky HD & Multiscreen for £57.50. I'd lose Netflix, but I can get that with the Virgin full fibre deal I want. I'll let it go off and see if I can get this for under £50.

Sky Contract ending rang 24/9  - negotiated price happy for tv/bb
gave 10 days for offer changes to show

rang 10/10 as bill £13 a month more than agreed - they could find no mention of offer/prices that were wrong
said they would check audio of call

No emails/calls so, Today (16/10) Oct & future bills showing £13 higher than agreed.

Rang  again today - don't seem of checked call, now said manager getting in touch with person who I called  on 24/9 & to give till Fri 24th (though say they would  phone or email [if im unable to answer] before then)

I dont hold out much hope for resolution on next call , so I can if needed do it straight after if get no joy- what is the next step -  contact sky via complaints on sky.com or is there a better more direct route

(I have a recording of the 24/9 as well- i let him read out all t&c and confurmation of package at end of call)

    signature £19
    sports HD + £20
    multiscreen £10
    netflix with ads £1 £50 a month
