Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

I only have Sky Signature + Sky Sports + was paying £36 a month.

I called a day after cancellation and was offered £58. This was more than the pre-cancellation offers. The lowest offer I got pre-cancellation was £51.50.

I called Day 3 or 4 after cancellation but used the number provided in the return box and managed to keep the same package for £38 (they added Sky Cinema for no extra cost) + £10 admin charge.

I probably could have haggled my way out of the admin charge but at this point I had spent a total of 3+ hours on the phone with them pre-cancellation (as I kept getting cut-off and would have to call back + hold before getting put through to someone who would have to put me through to someone else...)...
And while on the "winback" call the agent said he had a technical issue so someone else would have to call me to finish off the process… so did not want to prolong the whole negotiation/winback palaver any longer than I had to...

To confirm - no HD ??

I've just had another failed live chat attempt with the win-back team. Wouldn't budge from £42 for Signature/Sports. I was offered £38 on the phone last month after cancelling, so on principle I couldn't accept. They didn't try and sell me Stream and Glass this time. I may well give up now and look for alternatives. They must be losing a lot of subscribers and long-term ones like myself. Not sure what their business model is now.
