I was paying £76 before with all my discounts.Sky HDSky Sports HDMultiscreenBoost to Netflix PremiumSky SignatureSky KidsSky Sports Complete including Sky Sports+Ultimate TV PackSky CinemaUltra HD
Best I was offered before was £79 and that was dropping down to basic Netflix.
Renewed all the above for £68, £24 credit due to after abit of back and forth with the HD/UHD cost and removal of the £10 admin fee.
Fairly happy with it, probably not the best deal.0 -
I'm astonished that anyone pays 3 figures for TV (with or without BB), just cancel it and use the alternatives.0

This last time I was quoted a price as a Diamond VIP customer which was too high, rang the Sky team arranged a better price only to find the price quoted was not the price being charged, also received a message saying a returns parcel has been sent out to return the Sky equipment, The retentions team did sort things out but as for the returns parcel this is what they have told me- if they cancel the multiscreen and then re-apply multiscreen back on with offers applied, then it automatedly triggers a returns package sent out via Royal Mail and is tracked ( no wonder Sky price going up) . DO NOT send equipment back to them, but retain the packaging just in case, ONLY send equipment back if you are cancelling the Sky package, they look to see if there is an Active Account package. This also happened last time I renewed my Sky, you would think that the powers above would be doing their jobs and sorted it by now. I always check what offers are on for so called new customers and use this to bargain with them, once even said that I will cancel and then take on Sky again to get the offers (that year I got the price cut by nearly half). Always question the price quoted.I too, am a Diamond VIP customer of 23 years and query the annual price - last year, I asked for a discount and was told my option is to leave..I am disabled and don't really want to lose my lifeline to reality so accepted their huge price increase0

Best I got Sky down to is £75.50. To be honest, having to have signature is silly as we done use that. Now TV Sports is £33.50 per month for 6 months with UHD, Netflix is £18.99, Discovery + is £3.99 per month.Cancellation is set for 11 July, what’s the lowest I can realistically get Sky down to?0 -

Out of contract with both in early August. Out of contract Sky is £164 and Virgin are wanting £64 a month for 256mb before negotiation. Sky have offered a full and final £147.99 if I take my broad band business to them and I'd retain the existing package. They started at £149.99 and took a whole two quid off when I had a moan. I've now cancelled as the deal was nowhere near what I was looking for. Just decising where to go next. Sky Q system is very goood and weve been with sky for 26 years. My first experience of haggling for a while hasnt been good but jesus wept £148 quid a month for telly is a lot of money!0

Would recommend recording any phone calls made to providers these days to save any "misunderstandings" later.

Has anyone who was coming to an end of their current contract had theirs extended by a year automatically? my contract is due to expire on 20th August, last week I had 2 missed calls from a phone number which when I googled came back as a sky phone number, now when I look at my bills it says my contract expires on the 1st sept 2026, had been paying £86.50 and the new bill for sept onwards is £89.50 so looks like they extended most of my discounts, below is the bill for September onwards, I was getting TNT sport for £28 previously and now its £31 so thats where the additional £3 is going, what do we think of these prices? fair or should I phone up and try and get more off?

yeh, if you take off the £31 from TNT the rest of my package does seem a pretty fair price, I might give them a quick call and see if they can give me £3 off the TNT to match my last contract but if not its not a big deal really, also might see if they can extend the contract to make it 18 months rather than 12, will let the thread know what happens after the call, cheers0
