Seems like Sky aren’t being the most generous with retention offers at the moment. Mine is up this week and what they offered me over the phone was pretty much in line with the new offer applied via the app which is:
Signature £28.5
Ultimate £9
Kids £5
Sports £26
Cinema £11
Sport HD £2
Sky HD £6
Multiroom £12
UHD £3
This is over £20 more than I am currently paying so have cancelled. Hopefully they will come up with a better offer before then but if not will just cancel and save some money as can’t justify paying that

I currently pay £43.50 per month for Sky Signature, HD and Sky Sports HD and my contract ends on 21st June. So I contacted through chat to cancel my account and start the process.
I explained that my motivation for cancellation is cost. Due to price increases over the last 18 months I've removed UHD, Netflix Premium and Multiscreen from my package to control costs.
They gave me a new "offer" as below:
"Signature is normally £40.50, but you'll pay £27.50 (with an 24-month contract) This offer is for 24 months
Sky Sports in HD is normally £40, but you'll pay £23.00 (with an 24-month contract) This offer is for 24 months
Sky HD is normally £9, but you'll pay £5.00 This offer is for 24 months
It brings your total to £55.50 a month and saves you £816.00 over the 24 months. The standard cost of the total package is £89.50 (without offers).
Your offers will start today. A one-off admin fee of £0.00 will be added to your next bill.
Just so you know, all our offers are correct today but can change.
How's that for you?"
What a deal! Cancellation has now been put through.... let's see if better offers come

Although I hear that Virgin will be stopping V360 box being offered soon0 -
Do Sky not have to notify a customer of a price increase ?Mine has increased by huge amounts over the last 2 years (over doubled) with no warning. Surely the law is clear on this ?

MouldyOldDough said:So Q is NOT a content service so should not be covered by sky's interpretation of the rules
Sky does not consider that its standalone pay-TV services fall within the definition of an electronic communications service and maintains it is not required to comply.
The legal case has dragged on for years, with Sky losing at each stage, but each time finding another way to appeal.
