So I finally had contact from Sky today after getting switched off in January, they phoned this morning, big push on broadband even though my current deal with BT is better, on the TV front best they could do was like 10% off, previously I had 50% off so said now, don't miss sky anymore anyway0

I have found that some channels and most Sports ,are unwatchable in SD on modern 4k TVs.MouldyOldDough said:I am out of contract paying £80 for Q with signature, Sport, multiscreen and HDI am a 23 year VIP customerI asked for a better deal and was offered £5 to re-contract for 2 years and £9 to lose HDI chose the latter option0 -

Good job we don't have a 4k TV
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.1 -
Absolutely this .. I know there's stuff to do with which end of the signal spectrum the channels are, but the non-HD sport is particularly awful. And the music channels are all like watching through a fish tank - so disappointing.brewerdave said:

Renewed after cancelling a week ago -
Signature - £20.50
Cinema - £6
HD - £4
Plus £20 admin fee which I tried but failed to get refunded (UK call centre - guy did say he could do it last year but not now)
Effectively £31.33 pm over 2 year contract (total £752 including £20 fee) versus £64.50 pm when our last deal ended recently. Personally I would cancel but my better half watches a lot of Sky only content so .......0 -
For anyone who has actually left I am confused why my Sky+HD interface still looks exactly the same and I can still see my planner, though all my previously planned recordings have failed now, I expected it to change once my subscription had ended on 1 April. Obviously cannot use any of the Sky functions like record/pause/etc, but at least I can still see what I previously had scheduled. I expected my tv through Sky+ box to look different once it was cancelled. I thought it would be FreeSat or do I have to do anything to change how things look?Missing the Sky functions live pause/record/etc, but have discovered after over 3 years that my Hisense tv, if I add a flash/hard drive, can actually pause/rewind/fast forward and record. I was planning to get a HD recorder, but think I will play with my tv first to see what its capable of and whether just buying a bigger hard drive will be enough for what I want. Also noticed they are saying they have taken the £5 for Sky Go showing on the app on 7 April, not yet showing on my bank account so have cancelled the DD. I did speak to Sky the other day and they said they would sort, but clearrly they haven't.0

I have a Manhattan recorder too - it's massively glitchy but it was also super-cheap!MACKEM99 said:We have a Manhattan recorder and love it.0 -
Something strange has happened.... my contract/discounts run out next month, previously the predicated bill were showing some crazy prices, there was a renew offer on my account, that was only marginally better.
Now for some reason, the future bills have all updated with new discounts, its still more than im paying now but only £17 more - has this happened to anyone else?0
