The rejoin team seem to have gone AWOL lately as many on here will agree.  I went off early Jan, zero offers at all, only contact from sky was looking return of equipment.

I'm quite content now anyway without Sky, it didn't really offer much apart from a nice user interface combining all the services

My mate has put his cancellation in, and has had no emails or anything from them. He only wants the sports, so looking at that it’s worth telling him to wait till he loses his tv for a few days and then call them back?  Will that be the number off the packaging they send to send the box back?

I just don't understand SKY's business strategy at the moment, they're purposely not keeping customers or offering deals - it's baffling.

I'm waiting until I'm out of contract in September and will see if they try and keep me, if not, I will leave as I'm not happy with the April price increases but they've currently got me over a barrel as I don't want to pay the exit fees.

I enjoy SKY Q for the user interface and quite a few US shows on SKY Witness - I can solve the US shows (SVU, FBI and Chicago) by getting NOW TV - I just haven't figured out how I solve the interface/user experience/record programmes yet.  I guess in regards to the US shows I can either watch live on NOW TV or they have the catch up/box set option.

Been with SKY over 20 years, a sad day but I'll change my habits - esp if it means I'm saving upwards of £40 a month!

With my glass half full hat on, maybe by late Summer when they've lost so many customers they change their minds and start offering deals to retain their customer base....I know wishful thinking...

I'm currently paying £79.50 for Signature, Ultimate (Netflix without ads), Sports (plus HD), Cinema, Multiscreen, HD and UHD on Sky Q.  I called to "cancel" this week and they offered me £99 to renew and refused to improve on that so I gave notice of cancellation. l am waiting to see if they offer me anything better during the notice period.  It really does look like they're trying to rinse or discard Sky Q users in favour of their new streaming products.
Got an e-mail offer this morning which I called up to discuss and then accepted.  The deal was:
    Signature £25.50
Ultimate £10.99 (for Netflix Standard rather than the Premium I was on before, but that's all I need)
    Sports £12
    Cinema £13
    HD/UHD £7
    Multiscreen £10

    One-off admin fee £10 (reduced from £20)

So £78.49 per month in total which is £1 cheaper than I was paying before and INCLUDES the 2025 increase (which I think would have been around £6 otherwise).  Overall I'm happy with that.  I would have gone through with the disconnection if they had asked any more than that.

I find the other crafty thing Sky do is link discounts to various services.  For instance I wasn't bothered last time out in taking Sky Cinema.  Yet if I took it Cinema I would get a far bigger discount on Sky Sports of which I pay £12 rather than £33.  This means after price hikes it's a lot harder to cancel something to save pennies.  In the old days I would just cancel Cinema but now as it's linked to Sports if I did the same thing Sports would go up possibly more than what I pay for Cinema!

I’ve been with Sky 11 years

have Sky Q with sports, movies, UHD, Sky go extra,
    500gb fibre
    2 x phone sims of 10gb and 15gb.

All in its been up to £126 per month.

Out of contract with all, at the same time. Best they could get to was £110.

Looked at Virgin, and they’ve got a £200 account credit at the moment. So with everything except UHD, but having 1GB fibre, and changing phones to O2 (same network as Sky anyway) makes a net £75 per month for 18 months.

    £35 a month saving!!

I didn’t really want to leave sky and the hassle, but I’m shocked that they don’t seem to be offering much to keep me. When traditionally they have done lots to get it down.

Cheers @mits999 I’ll let him know to let it cancel then ring them back a few days after.  I don’t think he’s too bothered about keeping it to be honest, so that should work for him

    Does this include Volt?
It may make it even cheaper / better value

Gig 1 Volt if that’s it? I’m still getting to grips with Virgin terminology
