wilko789 said:My success with Sky. Was paying £38/month when came to end of contract. They refused to offer anything below about £50/month, so I cancelled my contract. 14 days in I called and was offered £44/month. The day before the service stopped I called them back and was offered the below at £32.50/month, plus £20 fee. I refused the £20 fee, which they eventually waived by speaking to their supervisor. This is for Sky+HD.Sky TV: £16.50Sky HD: £4Sky sports complete: £1224m contract; discount for the full 24 months. If they had just offered the £38/month at the beginning, I would have taken it.0

@MeteredOut : yes, I presume so, if we assume the increase will happen (which it probably will). But if the increase is greater than 10% (ie £3.40 in 12m) you can refuse it, cancel, and start again.

My TV service was cut off on the 26th. During the notice period I just had an offer for Signature for £20pm. Today, following Wilko's post above, I went to sky.com/reviewmyoptions and used the live chat. (Tip: log in first at sky.com, then use that URL afterwards).Offer was Signature £20, HD £9, Ultra HD £2, multiscreen £8. Total £39. Admin fee £10Asked the guy if he could delete the admin charge, he couldnt do that but he said it could be credited. And then he offered HD free for 3 months... so £30 for the first 3 months.Very pleased, and very relieved! I was paying £42.65pm before.Thank you Wilko for the link.0

I have already cancelled but decided to try the method above
The best they could offer for
SkySig + mutiroom + UHD + HD was £45.50
no thank you
I will give it one more try in the week of the disconection.0 -
I was offered the following at £74 (up from £62 currently):
Sky Signature
Sky HD
Sky Ultra HD
Netflix Ultimate
Sky 145MB fibre
I put my cancellation notice in. I'm half tempted to dump off HD given that the Freeview channels are in HD and we don't watch much of the Sky channels itself.0 -

Wait until the day before disconnection and chat with them again.

HOWEVER, can be problematic to cancel the broadband as it can prevent you negotiating a better deal elsewhere once the cancellation is on the system. Remember that you won't be able to stream catch up services once disconnected.
Personally I would separate the fibre from the TV contract - get the best deal you can from Sky for the fibre only - if not good enough then look for a better deal elsewhere and let the new b/b supplier deal with the changeover.1 -
Well, another "Nothing says 'we want you back' like an offer this good..." brochure arrived in the post today; it's the same £46 offer as the last 3 (I've had 13 in total). I tried calling the given number to ask Sky to stop sending them (or at least tell them they were wasting their time), but it said there'd be a 25 minute wait, so I hung up.0
