Has anyone else received an email from sky to say that they’ve noticed they are coming to the end of their deal and they have extended them for 12 months with no new contract?
    Yes had that last year
Interesting as have never had it before and rung up to renegotiate for over 10 years! Assume it is still worthwhile going through the motions of negotiating?

I didn't bother as I had a good deal ,  but it's worth a phone call  , you can always fall back on the emailed deal as long as you are happy with it

I've had these kinds of "discounts" offered previously. For some people this is acceptable but you must remember this will be much more expensive than you can achieve through canceling or even speaking with retentions. Good rule of thumb is you should aim for a price approx 50% of the full price. In some cases discounts can be higher. For example you have been offered £12 discount on Multiroom over a 12 month period. That is only £1 per month saving. Whereas I currently pay £2.50 for Multiscreen (a £12.50 saving per month- equalling £150 saving over 12 months). All the best!

My sky contract has just expired, and the prices quoted for the following is £86, I did haggle and they offered £76pm, I have no idea if this is good or not, I have
    Sky Signature
    Ultimate TV add on
Sky sports complete incl sky sports +
    Sky cinema
    Sky sports HD
    Sky HD
    Multiscreen
    Ultra HD

I just need advice if I am getting a good deal, any advice very much appreciated.
I am paying £58.50 for all of the above except Sky Cinema. Hope it helps.
So really what they have quoted me (£76) is not too far out which is good to know, thanks
I am paying £59 WITH Cinema. Plus, Netflix Premium rather than Standard. Netflix seems to be the big ticket item this time around.

Following on with my retention deal success - which I'm happy with.  I'm now looking to add TNT Sports onto my subscription.  Cheapest I've seen is £28 / £30 per month but does anyone know any tips to get TNT for cheaper? Thanks
What are you looking for on TNT in particular?

Cancellation notice went in over a week ago. Spoke to a terrible person on live chat, English was difficult to understand. They also kept saying 'Sky will go under if they continue to offer 30% discounts'.

The best they could offer was 10-12% off supposedly. In the end they offered Signature, Ultra HD, Netflix Premium, HD for £38 from £61. They wouldn't do anything on broadband but that at a minimum would be £30 so works out around £68, up from £62.

My parents account is due for renewal which I manage they were paying £53.50 initially for signature,hd, sky sports with hd, multiroom then after the price increase it ended up being £58.50 couple that with their Vodafone broadband at £21.82 it brings the total to £80.32. spoke to the cancellation agent on chat who offered to renew the same package for £68.00 a month which I couldn't justify or accept so went ahead with the cancellation they also gave me a quote with broadband but again still not worth taking at this stage.

We now have virgin available on their street (full fibre) and they could do a package overall for the same as what they have with sky for £84.99 but this would be for virgin stream and not 360.

Certainly now got options available to consider if sky don't offer a better deal going forward.

After haggling, cancelling and then agreeing a deal,   a month later Sky have just randomly emailed me to say that my Sports Package is increasing by £1 a month.  How can they do that outside of the scheduled/annual price increases?

I don't think Sky's contract terms regarding price rises limit them to any particular month, just to only once per 12 months:

From this document, clause 11.7, it says:

During the minimum term, unless it is for a reason set out in condition 11.8 below (where the following
increase limits do not apply), we may increase the then standard price of each TV subscription service
only once in any 12 month period and the increase will not be more than 10% or the increase in the UK
Retail Price Index over the 12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is greater. In
addition, any price increase for a TV subscription service will be delayed so as not to apply during the first
60 days of your minimum term in which case the 12 month period referred to will start on the date your
price would have increased but for the delay. The limits on the timing, frequency and amount of any price
increase in this condition are referred to as “price protection”.
So they limit price rises to the no more than greater of 10% or RPI once every 12 months, and not during the first 60 days of a new minimum term.
