Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Left Sky a few months back, as the pricing they were offering was pretty silly.
Have been getting a few offers in the post for Sky Q only, was interested in whether people thought those were competitive or I could do better.
Sky Signature + Cinema + Sports £43
Multiscreen £10
Ultra HD + HD £7
Ultimate TV £4.50
So £64.50 in total1 -
So even if my sky account ends today, I can still get bbc itv via my Sky Q box ? Missus will kill me if not ,with wimbledon on lol0

Cheers. And what about any recordings, will they dissappear? I am planning to stay with Sky , but even their own advisors have twice told me I will get the best offers as soon as my contract ends tonight0

The recordings of encrypted channels will still be there but you can't view them without the sub. Bear in mind that they will send you packaging to return your SkyQ box - this MAY happen before you get a decent offer !Mr_Benn said:Cheers. And what about any recordings, will they dissappear? I understand that Sky used to let, out of contract customers use recordings on an HD box, if you continued to pay £10 per month - but assume that this is no longer possible on Q - because they will want the box returned ?
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-essentials exists which gives Sky Q just for free-to-air channel viewing, recording, and using apps.
(not to be confused with another Sky package called Essentials which also includes broadband)
No price mentioned there, but I think it's nominally £15/month, but I've seen people write that they've got it for £5-£10/month. Random web-site here https://www.choose.co.uk/tv/sky/reviews/sky-tv-essentials/ says £7/month but I don't think that's official.

That is a very ggod deal, perhaps not as good as some others that I have seen on this channel in the past. I have virtually the same deal except that I pay £14 for sky sports instead of £8 like you. May be you get a further discount as you have Sky Cinema which I don't. Mine is a 18 month contract.0
