A further question. Do Sky ever discount the price of TNT Sport? Aussie Rules and Baseball start around now but I've never seen TNT lower than £28.

So, I called Sky and got the exact same package I had before for £84.50 month / 18 months, being:
Signature £21.50
Sports £13.00
Cinema £7.00
Netflix £15.50 (UHD)
UHD £2.00
HD £5.00
Broadband £20.50 (no calls as don't use landline any more)
Admin fee (£10.00) waived
It's a small increase of £3.50, but I'm good with it and we all have to pay the bills, right?People who cannot find time for recreation are obliged sooner or later to find time for illness ~ John Wanamaker0 -
My price rise is now showing in my future bills from July onwards. I have a Q box with Signature, Ultimate, HD and Kids. Currently £31, rising to £39.50. My existing discounts were extended for 18 months a few weeks ago, but I'm not in a minimum term contract.
From reading recent posts here, the biggest discounts on Signature seem to be given to those who also take Sports, Cinema or broadband.
What deals are people getting for basic packages similar to mine?0 -

I've had a "half-price" offer in the post; however, I've moved on to Freesat and don't need Sky anymore. The "half-price" was after Sky Signature for £20/month and subject to a £10 fee and in-contract increases, so really just £5 off HD for me.Can't say I'm tempted.0

Hello,
I currently have Sky Stream and am thinking about asking Sky if I can swap to Sky Q.
After the price increase, on Stream, I'll be paying:
£25 - Entertainment and Netflix
£6.50 - Whole Home
£10 - Sky Cinema
Currently have free Ad Skipping and Ultra HD/Atmos.
I was just wondering if anyone has managed to get a decent offer from Sky if they moved from Stream to Q? Looking at the new customer prices on the Sky website for Q, it looks like I'd have to pay considerably more to have the equivalent of my existing package, with the additional charges for HD on Q.
I'm not sure whether new customer prices would apply to me because I'm ending the Stream contract and moving to Q, or whether I have a chance of a Retention/Winback offer.
Thanks 🙂
Did you originally have Sky Q and move to Stream?
Can you Live pause on Stream?
Fast forward and rewind?
I watched Trigger Point live on ITVX on Sunday night and couldn't rewind to the beginning, could only restart programme from beginning. This was annoying. If Sky Stream is like that I don't want it.
Are subtitles available?
Is it easy to find a programme in Playlist?
Does the TV guide appear properly in Sky Go?
I've been offered a reasonable price for Sky Signature but I'd like to try Stream.Sorry for the delay in replying.
I have had Sky Q in the past, but went a time without Sky altogether before taking up Sky Stream.
You can pause Live TV on Stream. I believe it is only for up to 45 mins though.
You can fast forward and rewind on the Apps and for anything OnDemand/recorded in the cloud. Though this really isn’t like Sky Q. If for example you’ve added a show to your playlist that you want to watch later, the vast majority of programmes will take you to the channel’s on demand app, e.g. BBC - iPlayer, ITV - ITVX. If you pay £5 a month for Ad Skipping, then you can fast forward through the ads as well. Sky’s own content is available On Demand, so this doesn’t take you to an app, but the programme starts within a few seconds. For other content added to your playlist, some would be “Cloud recorded” though this is very rare.
Subtitles are available.
I personally find the Playlist difficult to use. Say you added an episode of The Simpsons to your playlist for example, it will add all the seasons to the playlist. I then find it quite difficult to remember what episode it was I wanted to watch later! If you are watching a series, it is supposed to remember where you were up to, though I haven't found that to always be reliable.
I can’t comment on Sky Go I’m afraid as I don’t use that.
The picture quality is excellent and it is supposed to actually be better than Sky Q. I think for some people, Stream is a great alternative, but for me with ADHD I find the whole playlist thing quite difficult and would prefer traditional recording to a hard drive - like Sky Q offers.
My broadband is very unreliable as well, so even though it is going to cost me more, I've decided to move back to Sky Q as it's the better experience for me.
If you are going to go for Stream, I would say that your broadband connection really needs to be rock solid, as if it goes down you won't be able to watch anything.
Hope that helps. :-)

Hoping someone can help answer the below! Currently helping my parents with a new deal but they’re struggling to get a good price.
Their deal at the moment is approx £110pm for:
Superfast bb
Anytime talk
Full Q package
Sky sports (not TNT)
HD (not UHD)
Cinema
2 x multiroom boxes
1. The best offer earlier in the month was £123pm for no change in package - seems crazy high to me or is this the going rate for Sky these days?!
2. They live in an area without Virgin Media as a comparison - does this effect what prices Sky offer or should it not make a difference?
3. They’ve cancelled their deal a couple of weeks ago but no retention call back yet. Is this still a thing? What’s the best approach to getting through to the team offering best discounts?
Any help on the above would be really appreciated!0 -

As an aside, I noticed that the changes are taking an absolute age to be reflected in my account. There are literally dozens of entries on my March bill showing part months for this and that, which are hard to follow. Future bills also not accurate as of today, but they told me all is good and the account may take up to 10 working days to be reflective of the deal. That's also why I won't use ITVx, even though I'd quite like BritBox. Their interface is equally clunky, with unskippable ads. It's just not for me.People who cannot find time for recreation are obliged sooner or later to find time for illness ~ John Wanamaker1
