I cancelled Sky and returned my Sky Q box last month.

I've since been looking at Sky Stream and Sky Glass.

Yesterday I had an offer through the post from Sky for Sky Stream:

    Entertainment and Netflix = £20 (usually £26)
UHD and Dolby Atmos = £2 (usually £6)
    Skip the Ads = £5

Not sure if I'm going to be able to get any better than this?

I was also looking at Sky Glass as I'm considering a new TV. Has anyone managed to get an offer on the TV subscription side of Glass at all?

    Thanks :-)

I wouldn’t get a sky glass tv to be honest…best get a 4K tv that you like at a decent price from Richer Sounds or John Lewis for the guarantee..

Have been paying.  Some deals have expired, gone from £66 to £85 per month.

    Signature £24 - was £18 in April
Ultimate (Netflix) £6 - was £5 in April
BT Sport £25.20 going to £28
    Sky Sport £25 + £2 HD - was £16 + £2 in April.

Now out of contract and cancelled.  Got an email offering Signature and Sky Sports for £39 - no mention of HD.  Also had a phone call.  Playing hard ball here.

Hi, Sky contract into last month so rang Virgin and received a quote of £79 a month for their Ultimate Volt bundle, 1 GB fibre broadband, multiroom box (plus max of 3 wi-fi boosters if needed) and £18 a month for four sim only phones (one unlimited a three 20GB a month).

So £97 for the lot which seems a very good deal to me.  Anyone beaten that with a SKY renewal as awaiting the call back team to phone with an offer.
  • My Sky package is as follows:

    Sky Signature
    Sky HD + Sky UHD
    Sky Ultimate TV add on.

My contract expires in September and I currently pay £35 and future billing tells me it will go up to £39 in September.

My package for new customers is £44.

I know I’m not within the 30 day notice period until next month but I did speak to Sky via chat to see what they might offer and this is what they came back with

Signature is normally £34, but you'll pay £22 (with an 18-month contract)
HD is normally £9, but you'll pay £5
Ultra HD is normally £4, but you'll pay £2
Ultimate TV Add (Netflix) is normally £7

It brings your total to £36 a month and saves you £324 over the 18 months. The standard cost of the total package is £54 (without offers). Your offers will start today. A one-off [admin fee of £10 will be added to your next bill.
Just so you know, all our offers are correct today but can change.

    How's that for you?

I don’t know where they get the full price is £54 from because as I said above and also told them for a new customer it is £44.

Does this seem like a good deal?

  • Was paying £39 pm for Sky Q Signature, Netflix & Sports.
Out of contract at end of month and going up to £75.
Rang to cancel and been offered same package at £47.
Ive started cancellation process and I'm hoping that I'll  start to receive offers.
Its tiring going through this pretend haggling process every 18 months or so.
Why don't they just give their best offers to long-term customers??

Because most people will pay the higher price and not go through the process

Exactly this - it's quite amazing and eye opening to ask relations and friends what they pay for various Sky packages. I've found quite a few who are paying well over £100pm !!

Due to the expiration of various deals my package is increasing from £124pm to £188pm
It's going to have to be a good haggle or else just cancel as much as I can.
Does anyone else pay these prices, or give me any advice, thank you.

    Sky Signature                            £27.70
    Ultimate TV Add on                     £7.00
    Sky Kids                                      £6.00
Sky Sports - Complete Pack     £32.00
    TNT Sports                                £28.00
    Sky Cinema                               £12.00

That definitely needs a call to Sky to see what they can offer, if you’re still not happy after that, put cancellation notice in.  You should get that for way way less.  The best prices are normally always after putting in a cancellation.  Just tell them it’s completely unaffordable.
