Currently on probably the best deal I've ever had with Sky TV - per month £39
    Signature £19
    Sports Complete £7 (crazy)
    Cinema £6
    Sport HD £2
    HD £5

18 month contract, not sure how I managed to talk them in to Sports Complete for £7 (was £5 but gone up with April increases).
Cancelled cinema recently to offset April increases and offered half price to retain, so pretty much back where I started !!!

Great deal.  I would stay for that.  May I ask where you got the offer from (call or online chat etc)? I've not yet boxed up my stuff to send back.

Well I tried getting a deal online again today with their "comeback squad" and got a very insulting deal (full works for £67 + a £40 admin fee, was paying £75)...
I didn't get much from the Chat team, so I rang the 0800 number and said 'Winback' when the automated system asked what help I needed. Better deals speaking to people I find, mostly if you get the winback/retentions/loyalty lot.
I tried them about a month ago, they weren't really much help either. I'm not after just a few quid off when there's other ways and means. All my other bills have gone up by more than I'm saving not having Sky so it's really a no brainer. Nobody here has missed it apart from being able to watch recorded content. There are so many catch-up services out there so it's not a complete loss.

I ditched my Sky BB, "Ultimate", and multiroom setup, leaving me with a basic package and HD.
I told them it's because they were being greedy with their price rises and they didn't make any attempt to keep me.
They're now getting less than half my previous month's subscription.
They sent me a box to return the router, which I did last week, and there's one on its way for the multiroom unit.
I'll decide whether to do away with the lot when my contracted period completes in the New Year.
A paid TV service is not an essential.

They really don't give 2 ***** about the customer. I finally got my last refund from them after months sitting rolling over every month. Quick to take money but slow to give it back.

Tried to get the guy on the phone to completely delete my account, information off their systems but they refused. I have no ties to sky at all now yet they want to keep my details on record. They still sending spam by letter (to my old address too despite me updating the details ages ago) and there'd no settings enabled for marketing.

Disgusting company and glad I'm rid of them. Anyone who thinks they've got a "deal" from Sky is delusional.
Completely agree about anyone who thinks they've got a deal. The prices some are quoting they've 'managed' to get on here are ridiculous. Get a firestick, get IPTV on it (from someone you know is reliable, there are some iffy providers out there) and you're all set. Even without IPTV there's plenty of ftv TV online as well as Prime, Netflix, Apple, Disney etc.
There’s the thing…how do we find a reliable iptv supplier? There’s a multitude of choices and it’s not like there’s anywhere that rates and gives feedback on the various providers

I guess it would be trial and error on the most part in finding a decent and reliable supplier who won’t run off with your money.

I have a few work colleagues who use iptv who put me in touch with a guy who runs his own service I was contemplating using him for my elderly parents who use sky but they were against the idea and the illegality of it despite the money that would be saved his service is flawless with minimal buffering and has every channel you can think of been offered a free trial myself which I’m thinking about trying would be handy for 3pm kick offs and ifollow as my team are in the football league.

Signature, Sports, HD and Muliroom. Was paying £65. Best deal to renew before I cancelled was £64. So cancelled on Friday ..contacted today and have accepted the new offer of everything staying the same for £48. Happy with that.

UPDATE; bizarrely Sky phoned next day after I had agreed above…said he could beat deal I had accepted! Got all of the above but now with FIRST MONTH FREE !(Must be on commission!)

If you know anyone who uses a service and can recommend it this is the best way. You also want someone who has a group chat set up somewhere (WhatsApp, Telegram etc). Reliable ones will offer a free trial to try it out on your set up, this will be for providers who give you details of the app to download. If you use one who provides the Firestick already set up a trial won't be an option. Ask around, you'll be surprised how many use it.
  • Funding criminals for iptv isn't the answer. You can be sure that your money will be funding all sorts of unsavoury endevours. It's better that you do without the content completely.

I don't disagree, however if people still want access to everything without switching to BT TV/Now/or use a Vpn to subscribe abroad (Peacock Sports) this is another option.
