I got same without cinema for £50.50 a month.failbubble said:2 weeks into my cancellation period and just been offered £69.50 for signature, sports, cinema, HD and superfast broadband, tried to get a fix or a reduction for a couple of months because it’s going to go up in April but got nothing, anyone had a better offer for this package or should I give up and accept it?0 -
My contract is up at the end of this month so I called sky yesterday as they were hiking the price up considerably.
Upto last month I was paying £97 for Broadband, sports, BT sport, cinema, Netflix, HD, signature and ultimate TV. At the end of this month it was going up to £140, ridiculous.
The best they could do was the same package for £122 so I put in my 31 day cancellation notice. I wasn't even prepared to renew on last months terms which were ridiculously high, let alone £122.
I guess now I look into other options such as freeview etc. Been with sky for 12 years, they thank you for your loyalty and then offer you ridiculous terms.
Do I chase them on online chats for a better deal or wait it out?0 -
Usual prices going up and the call to Sky, Currently have Signature with Netflix, Superfast Broadband unto 59mb and PAYG landline and that's at £62.50 (Jan) gone up from £49.50 (Nov) as a Diamond customer.
They can offer me £46 keeping everything as it is, was trying to get it to the £39 as shown on Uswitch as a new customer but the lady insisting that the broadband was the lower super fast of 36mb, after having to share a screenshot.
They just now keep saying that they can only offer the deals on the website, why do i feel they are holding back? I did say to put me through to cancelling, which is where i thought i ended up, but maybe not.
Anyone with any recommendations, take the deal or ring back in a few days?
Off to see what BT offers are..
If i do cancel, do people really send back the routers and Sky Q boxes?
Thanks in advance

From my experience, cancel, you get 30 days notice period, by 2 weeks into this i had email offers which i ignored, then a phone call which gave me what i consider to be a fair offer which i accepted. Good luck!TheOldStagGamer said:Usual prices going up and the call to Sky, Currently have Signature with Netflix, Superfast Broadband unto 59mb and PAYG landline and that's at £62.50 (Jan) gone up from £49.50 (Nov) as a Diamond customer.

When I put in my notice 19th December they indicated return bags would be issued immediately, but not to use them till 30 days up. When i renegotiated a new deal on Monday I asked where my return bags were. They had not been sent and it was just more Sky Bluster tactics I assume.TheOldStagGamer said:Usual prices going up and the call to Sky, Currently have Signature with Netflix, Superfast Broadband unto 59mb and PAYG landline and that's at £62.50 (Jan) gone up from £49.50 (Nov) as a Diamond customer.

I mentioned about cancelling and waiting for an offer and the lady said that they had stopped that sort of practice. I'm getting the feeling that some non-truths were being told if you've done it recently?Rammie65 said:From my experience, cancel, you get 30 days notice period, by 2 weeks into this i had email offers which i ignored, then a phone call which gave me what i consider to be a fair offer which i accepted. I did it just before Christmas, they have not stopped it at all. It is always a bit of a gamble but you have 30 days to shop around anyway.TheOldStagGamer said:

If your out of contact why do you need to put in a cancellation notice. Why cant i just cancel my direct debit? I cannot be hassle to haggle with them, just go else where. Theres no legal reason to give notice or is there?0
