Unfortunately they’re still not budging on my original £69.50, I just want to get it down by £3 or £4 so when it goes up in a couple of months it hits the £69ish mark. Annoyingly I noticed my contact preferences were all off so I didn’t ever get an offer from them short of a service text message reminding me my contract was nearly over and I doubt I will now (unless they call a week before?) anyone got any advice on how I can get them to bring it down further? Running out of ideas, don’t know why they put us through this stress every 18 months…
If I were you let it all cancel down, then contact Winback team same package will be close to £50 they will be able to switch it all back on within minutes
Can they switch broadband back on that quickly though? I was told the other day I needed to resign with at least a week to go otherwise the broadband would cut off.

How long do you have to wait before you call the winback team?
In that case I would keep broadband active and only cancel tv, within 4 weeks sky should phone you back with better offer, if the offer is no good then let tv cancel and once it’s switched off phone Winback 1 day after they will then definitely play ball

Another option is to switch the broadband to another provider and do the cancel trick for tv
  • Hi everyone!

A friend just got this deal:

    Signature £11 with a new Q box
    Ultrafast Broadband £29
    Sky Go
    so £40 for both

She was telling me it took her 4/5 phone calls to get anywhere. Her TV contract had already ended and her broadband was in its last 31 days.

Looks like she did alright doesn’t it?

    Hope that helps someone! 👍👍

Don't cancel your BB. It might be difficult to re-sign. You find another provider, give them your details and they transfer you from Sky - takes about 14 days.
    Just cancel your TV.

I was on a good deal at £50/month but contract ends 6/1/23:
    Sky Signature - £19
    Ultimate Add on - £5
    Sky Sports Complete - £12
    Sky Sports HD - £2
    Sky HD - Free
    Multiscreen £10
    Ultra HD £2

Been through to nice lady in retentions but she can only offer £62:
    Sky Signature - £20
    Ultimate Add on - £6
    Sky Sports Complete - £17
Sky Sports HD - not sure if this is included above
    Sky HD - 4
    Multiscreen £11
    Ultra HD £4

I have started my 31 day cancellation but the lady in retentions advised me to contact them before the 31 days if I wanted to stay or they would have to set up a new contract. I need to think seriously if we can do away with SKY if I can't get close to £50 again. Apart from Sky Sports, the main thing we would miss is the nice TV guide and the interface -  we actually only really watch BBC&ITV plus Netflix. Has anybody used any other set top boxes that they would recommend if I do follow through and cancel?

    Thanks, Steve
Hi all, I was offered £54 for the above by phone a few weeks ago and this has been confirmed in a letter through the post. I've had a missed call from SKY and I'm tempted to keep the package if I can get to £50 or below. What's the best way to contact them now as the service is set to expire on the 13th.

    Phoned today.

Bloke on the end of the phone couldn't be less interested & telephone manner was awful (Muting his microphone for long periods without informing me so I initially thought I'd been cut off & calling me mate & buddy).

I'm a manager involved in the 111 NHS service & if he was one of my staff we would be having a chat in my office (without coffee).

Separate to his professionalism there was no attempt made at all to retain me as a customer (been with Sky 14 years).

    Cancellation countdown begins :-)
Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???
  • Have been paying £18/ month for signature Netflix and HD. Coming up for renewal.

    Best offer was
    Sky signature £19
    Netflix £6
    HD £6
    £31/ month total

When I declined this I was offered Sky Stream for £24/ month (same as new customer deal). Includes Netflix basic and HD.

Have proceeded with cancellation so will see if they come back with anything better.

Sky cancellation period was due to end this Friday so I jumped onto the SKY messenger chat last night and agreed £49.50 / month for:

    Sky Signature
    Ultimate Add on
    Sky Sports Complete
    Sky Sports HD
    Sky HD
    Multiscreen
    Ultra HD

It's actually £52.50/month but they waived the admin fee and gave me a credit of £48 so the average is £49.50. I was paying £50 before so I'm happy with this.

They were very helpful and I was happy with the deal in the end so I'm staying for another 18 months.
