  • So I bit the bullet and let it cancel after several lacklustre offers, the contract expired midnight last night/this morning but got a text yesterday saying I won’t lose TV access until tomorrow which is a bit confusing. Does that mean the winback team won’t be able to give me a decent offer till tomorrow?

Due to finish with sky in 5 days time.
Latest contact was a letter offering exactly the same as I'd previously turned down twice via email and chat.

    Signature and sports £33
Add-ons on rear of page if needed.
    UHD+HD £6
    Netflix £5
    Multiscreen £10.

  • So my contract expires in 5 days, I havent cancelled yet.
They offered me = HD, multiroom, signature, 44£ a month.
    Tv only.

Is that ok/good? For 18 month contract
I feel like I could get more but bit nervous
  • I’ve not long cancelled and due to expire on 16th feb. I received the review my options text yesterday and was offered.

    Signature £22
    Cinema £9
    HD £6
    Netflix £4 multiscreen £10
    Broadband £20

This was everything I had already and was paying £87.50. It’s now £71 in total so have went ahead with it.

My tv and broadband us due to be cancelled and cut off on Sunday. I received the review your options text as well yesterday and went into the chat following the link. I was paying £97 a month for:

    Signature
    Sky Sports
    BT Sport
    HD
    Netflix
    Cinema
    Superfast Broadband

They offered it to me yesterday for £102.50. Politely told them no thanks and to proceed with it being cut off on Sunday. If they don't come back with significantly reduced terms, I won't be renewing.

No that isn’t good, a terrible offer. I’d expect at least £10 a month less for that. I used to pay £44 (until December 2022) for Signature, Netflix, Sports, Cinema, HD & UHD. I now pay £18 for Signature, Netflix, HD & UHD. I can’t believe the terrible deals some people are accepting from Sky on this forum. Also don’t forget there will probably be a 10% price increase every March on top of any quoted prices now, and ignore the so called full Sky prices/amount they claim you’re saving as none of their packages are worth that much and I think they make it up as they go along. If you haven’t put cancellation in yet it’s 31 days notice so you’ll pay full price for a while.

Little update on mine. Was paying £30.50 for the broadband which they were increasing to £35.50. Accepted an offer which has reduced it to £22 a month.

Update on my constant haggling with Sky after about 6 live chats and phone calls. Did have Virgin booked for half the price but they refused to drill through my cladding (company policy) so had to go back to Sky. It was due to be turned off tomorrow so in the end i accepted the below.

    Signature £15
    Sports £6
    Cinema £12
    Ultimate (Netflix) £6
    Kids £2
    HD/UHD £4+£2
    Multiroom £7.50

Total £54.50/month and admin fee of £30 waived. Not a bad deal and all 6 attempts to get it down resulted in the same deal!

Rebooked Virgin for BB (M500) as less drilling for just the router, Phone and Anytime calls at £47/month. Cant get FTTP yet as Openreach are absolute cack! Rest of the estate is on FTTP except my road and the best estimate is Feb 2024!!

All in all fairly happy with the deal. Did have a target to get everything below £100 so only just failed. Virgin would have been £79 for everything (Ultimate Volt). I would also have got BT sport but lost Sky Atlantic.

I'm in my last few days with Sky & waiting for a decent offer.

Given the impending price rise in April would I be better withdrawing my notice now and putting it in again at the beginning of March with a view to fixing again after the price rise?
Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???
  • My Sky TV was cut off on Sunday after I'd put in the cancellation notice way back when.

I've had an offer from sky this morning to come back and take Sky Sports for £12 and Signature for £21. Still not good enough in my eyes, especially Signature, not prepared to pay anywhere near £21 for that.
