  • happy with my deal, ive been on and off with sky 25+ years, 3mths ago signed up for skysports sky 43quid
tried my hardest all day yesterday to try and get btsports on was a headache with plusnet and ee,
after looking at skysite as the footy kicked off (not happy) as still not connected from either pn via skybox or ee via app
thought give sky a ring they can turn it straight on, lets see what i can get
so i called them, offered me bt sports hd connected straightaway for 25quid, (18 elsewhere)
so i said beat the 18quid, off he went came back and said start a new 18mth contract for BOTH skysports and btsports hd, can have btsports for 15quid, but it is a contract no getting out of it, happy with that switched straight on and had a few cans watching the end of the match

    Hi guys,

I just tried and the best I could get was 20 signature, HD at 3 and multiscreen at 7.

Are you better off letting the service turn off completely before getting in touch?

Mine is up for renewal in Jan. just had an email to remind me . Offering Signature for £26. I currently pay £21 for this + HD.  This is far to much even at £21. Will be cancelling and using Now tv for the few programs we actually watch. I think £14 is probably what it is worth.

Cancel it and wait for call back they should offer you signature £10 to £14 and hd for free
  • I have been paying £20/month for Sky Signature + HD (was £17/month 18 months ago), due to end mid December.
My bill was showing as going up to £38/month once out of contract, obviously far too much.
An online offer earlier this month was showing £33/month for re-contracting for 18months.
So when it was 31 days to the end of my contract I sent an email to cancel Sky.
A couple of days back they phoned to confirm the cancellation. They offered £22/month signature + £6/month HD = £28/month.
    I said no thanks.
Today I received an email offering signature for £18/month + various other packs half price, e.g. £8 cinema, £16 sports, £5 UHD.
UHD is no better than HD for me as I have Sky+ not Sky Q (don't want Sky Q for now either, prefer to own the box).
Clicked a link in the email and had an online chat with a 'Loyalty expert' and they offered HD for £3/month down from £7/month, so that's £21/month for the same as I had.
Maybe I could have haggled harder and/or waited until closer to my end date, and got a lower price.
But I decided to go for £21/month.
They also tried charging a £10 admin fee, but I pointed out that the original email didn't mention this, and they agreed to a credit to reverse that.

    Hi,
I have recently had the pleasure of following some of the sound advice on here to help renegotiate my Sky TV contract. I used the text chat to try and haggle a better deal, but the best they could get to for Signature+Kids+HD+Multiscreen+Sports was £55 per month.
I heard nothing from Sky after rejecting this.
I then mistakenly mixed up my cancellation date and reverted back on text on the day I lost services. They then offered me £71 for the above. Ouch!
But then, they suggested I contact the sales team on 03442 414141 and as a "returning customer" (well I had left for 13 hours!). The discounts and double-discounts rattled down the phone at me. I ended up with all the above plus Netflix included for £49 a month. I have no idea if it's always these extra discounts, but it's worth bearing in mind.

When did i stop being able to fit Hoola-Hoops over my fingers?:think:

On the day that you lost services, do you know if you lost your recordings/scheduled recordings or series links? I'd like to cancel to get the best price, but my wife is not going to be too happy if she loses all of her old recordings.
