I was previously paying £28 for Sky Entertainment with Netflix, and also paid £23 to NowTV separately, for Sky Sports.
Cancelled, then got an offer to stay, around 10 days later. Went on live chat and said the offer was ok, but not enough to entice me back, and said that BT have a similar package for £37 per month.

After a bit of back and forth, got the following deal. £12 less per month, and with Ultra HD / Netflix Premium in place of standard HD and Netflix.

Sky Signature Pack @ £31.00 pm (with discount £18)
Sky Ultimate TV Pack - Netflix @ £6.00 pm (with discount £5)
Sky Ultra HD Pack @ £4.00 pm (with discount £2)
Sky HD Pack @ £7.00 pm (with discount £0)
Sports Pack in HD @ £32.00 pm (with discount £14)
So your total monthly cost will be £39 for 18 months and thereafter £80.

This thread on Hotukdeals (https://www.hotukdeals.com/discussions/75-off-sky-tv-for-existing-customers-only-works-when-you-call-the-specific-number-3-weeks-after-putting-your-request-to-cancel-or-save-approx-140-via-your-sky-remote-scroll-down-1741671?page=328) also discusses retention deals (despite the title, no one has achieved 75% discount in years, but don't let that put you off).  Look through the last pages to see what people are currently being offered when they cancel (or indeed, let the services go off).  Obviously, it depends on what you are happy to pay, and not everyone achieves the same deal, but it gives you an idea what is possible.  You do need to look at the overall price, as they move discounts round between the different components (some are achieving around £12/14 for Signature, but then I haven't looked to see what they are paying for sports).

The sports price is a good price after the price rise..they’re ripping off F1 fans for £18 just for the f1 channel alone this year.  Used to be a tenner last season

My deal has just finished. I was paying £34 for entertainment, hd and cinema. Price has now gone up to £57. Called today to be told the best they can do is £43. I've given notice to cancel, let's see what offers come through 🤞

I've received the letter regarding the price increase and contacted Sky. My Superfast Broadband deal is coming to an end in July as well, so thought I'd see what they could offer, as if it isn't any good I could leave penalty free now. First of all they said £28 a month is the best they could do and wouldn't budge. After 3 attempts with different advisors, they offered £26 a month. I'm conscious Now Broadband and Plusnet have decent deals at the moment with Cashback so I'm still thinking of switching. Retentions have waived the early termination charges as per the price rise letter.

have the Sky signature package only, fibre broadband with another provider ending next month, thought  would see if they could offer something better than what the MSE table can offer, which was Shell @ 22 for fibre running over 300mbs.

Sky could only offer me fibre at £28 unfortunately. Didn't take it and took on Shell which would be cheaper and 5 times faster, no brainer

Eighteen months ago I got a very good deal to stay with Sky of £11 a month for the Sky Entertainment package. No other add-ons, or broadband etc.  This rose to £11.65 when there was last a price rise.   The contract was coming to an end so I gave notice to leave.  I had found that about 90% of what I watch is on the free channels anyway, so I was going to look into getting FreeSat, but that would obviously involve a substantial initial outlay of over £200.  Sky several times offered me a 'deal' to stay with Sky Signature at  £16 for 18 months, but I didn't think it was a particularly good deal at all as it was about a 37% increase from the £11.65. They sent me this offer again and again, and insisted they couldn't do any better and it was a good deal.  They told me I was being offered about 50% off as the full price for Sky Signature was £31.  Hmm,  I am not sure about that, because I see it advertised at £25!

A couple of days before the contract finished I got them to agree that I could pay £10 a month to retain my recording and pause functions with the free channels.  There would be no tie-in period and I intended to watch down every programme I had saved on the box and then cancel and go to FreeSat.   The day after my contract finished I switched on and found the recording function was not working as agreed.  So I rang and miraculously they could give me Sky Signature for £14 a month for 18 months.  So I have agreed to that, and fairly happy as it gives me Box Sets which I didn't have on the old Entertainment package, and I don't have to go out shopping for a FreeSat box.   This will be the last time I renew though, definitely!

PS This is all with a Sky+ HD box, I have resisted getting Sky Q as it sounds very complicated and the box remains Sky's property.   Also my ultimate aim is to leave and get FreeView or FreeSat, combined with streaming services.

Good info. Just as and FYI regarding Freesat. C4 are in dispute with with Freesat owners currently and you cannot get C4 HD. I hope they resolve this soon. They fell out about 2 years ago.
