  • Has anyone taken the deal for TV & Superfast Broadband for £39 (Signature at £21 and Superfast Broadband at £18) and managed to get a discount on the HD? I took this deal in the end but they would not budge on charging £6 for HD so I'm paying £45 a month.
I went on live chat yet again today. (They must be really fed up with me by now!) and said that "I've only just agreed to a new deal at £45 a month a few weeks back, and now I've noticed that it's going up by another £3."
They've finally given me a discount on the HD! I just wished they'd done that in the first place.
So by going with the new prices, This is what I've got:
    Sky Signature - £22 (£9 discount)
HD - £3 (£4 discount. Not brilliant but it's something off. £7 was just too much)
    Superfast Broadband - £19 (£14 discount)
Total = £44 after price increase. A bit better than £48 it was going up to I suppose.
I really do think that these offers depend on who you chat too.

I left Sky last September having been a customer for 19 years. I was paying £14.20 for Sky Box Sets plus HD after a great deal the year before when they offered me it for £12pm.

I cancelled as usual and gave my 31 days notice. Best offer was £17 for Signature and £1 for HD. I did get a phone call from Retentions who wanted £19 for the same deal that was showing at £18 on My deals. Eventually got down to the equivalent of £15.60pm as they were going to add on a £40 credit. Still said no as I wanted it back down to at least £14pm.

So signed up to a free trial of Sky Now and the Entertainment Pass which suited my needs. Cancelled that just before end of trial and was offered next 6 months at £5.99 so accepted it. The day before my Sky service was due to stop I got another phone call from retentions saying if they could get as near to £14pm would I stay. I said if you'd offered me that 2 weeks ago I would have said yes but now I'm going to say no as I'm getting Sky Now for £5.99pm or £8.99pm if I wanted HD. As it is I find non HD just the same as what i was getting on HD with Sky.

Just coming to the end of my Sky Now deal and cancelled again to be offered another 6 months for £5pm. I'm even happier having used my Tesco Vouchers to get triple credit - got £150 of credit for only £50. The tie in with Tesco has now ended unfortunately but that credit will keep me going for quite some time.

A couple of days ago I received a letter from Sky offering me Signature at £13pm but I won't be coming back just yet.

was on the phone to retentions yesterday for over 90mins trying to get as good a deal as possible, in the end was a waste of time, the best they could offer was more expensive than the deal offered to me on the sky.com/mydeal link so have just gone ahead and accepted that, when I add on the multiroom it works out at £56 a month which is £3 a month more than ive been paying for the last 17 months but ive just accepted it and got the deal done

    Sky Signature

    £20

    Sky Sports and Sky Cinema

    £19

    HD

    £3

    Total Monthly

    £42

So I think I may have shot myself in the foot!
I'm now within last month of contract, and I'd normally call sky to cancel and I do after a long call. In a few weeks they'll normally call back with a deal I'm happy with.
Last week was different though, after seeing how much bill will be rising to, I used the online chat to cancel, and basically the guy at the other end said Ok bye then. So now my sky ends in 3 weeks.
I can see in my offers on sky online, the price if I rejoin/re-sign (adding signature) has gone up even more.
I'm a bit nervous now that this time they won't get back in touch.
    Fingers crossed.

Hi all, I'm currently in the process of cancelling Sky - I cancelled a while ago and have been without Sky for the past month, but interestingly I have not had any contact from Sky, I don't have any deals on my Sky account of MySky app or on my Sky Q box. Before I try to speak to retentions, what should I be aiming for for broadband (non-fibre), Sky sports, HD and Netflix HD? I currently have a Q box and multiroom which has never been used (only have one TV), so don't need multiroom.

Can’t speak for broadband but recently friend got signature, hd, ultra hd, kids, ultimate tv for £25. Sports were offered at £19 but rejected.  On www.Sky.com/mydeal after he agreed sports were there for £14 and cinema £6 but signature was more expensive..  it’s going up £2 with price increase. surprised if you’ve put cancellation in there’s no offer or contact, didn’t they try and offer you something when you cancelled?

    So they have offered:
    "Sky Signature at £19.00 a month (that's a £12.00 discount with an 18-month contract)
Sky Ultimate TV Netflix at £5.00 a month (that's a £1.00 discount with an 18-month contract)
    HD at £5.00 (that's a £2.00 discount)
Sky Complete Sports at £25.00 (that's a £11.00 discount with an 18-month contract)
Sky Broadband Superfast, including line rental, pay as you talk calls at £26.00 (that's a £7.00 discount with an 18-month contract)
This brings your total to £80.00 a month"
That doesn't seem that reasonable to me.

The tv doesn’t seem unreasonable to be honest..you could get hd down a few quid  I guess and couple of quid off signature, I suspect that complete sky sports includes BT?  If it doesn’t that’s very expensive offer for that
