So if I've done this properly, fingers crossed I'm getting the TV for £18 a month and the broadband for £18 too. £36 a month now sounds better than the £42 I was offered on the phone.
But does anyone know how long it takes for the My Sky app to update after you've excepted a new deal? My next few months payments are showing up around £60 a month without the discounts added on.

You might find that they won't honour the £18 b/band offer as it might be claimed that it was conditional on the TV offer @ £24 pm. Certainly heard that happening before when someone has tried to "split" offers.
Looks like you were right about that. I've been on chat this afternoon and this is what they said:
"So speaking with my back office team David, what's happened is that you were incorrectly offered your account for £42 as it was stacking two different offers. Since then when you accepted the £17 and £1 HD it's invalidated the other offers. So what you should have been offered is Signature £21, HD £6 and Broadband Superfast £18= £45 this would be the very best price I can offer you today or you can go for your tailored offers of Signature £17, HD £1 and Broadband Superfast £27=£45"
I've now put in my cancelation but the guy has gone for lunch.
Best way around this is to stick with the my deals offer for tv sig £17 + hd £1 then ring sky tell them your moving broadband to now broadband 36mb bb + anytime calls to landlines and mobiles £22 a month then go on now broadband Website and place order you can also keep phone number

Ok, I've not long ended the chat and pretty much didn't get anywhere even though I showed them the screenshots of what I was offered from the MyDeal page. I was very nearly going to cancel until they sent me the key facts and then got "You will not be able to take any new sky customer deals for 12 months, You will not be contacted by the winback team or retentions etc" So it felt like I was backed into a corner and said Ok, I've changed my mind but I'm not happy with what I've been offered.
I'm getting Signature for £21, and broadband for £18. He still wanted to charge me HD for £6 so I told him to get rid of that as he wasn't offering it at a discount. I even offered to pay £1 but he wouldn't budge! So I'll now be paying £39 a month. The app has already been updated with the new payments too.
Now I feel drained and need a lie down!!

Don’t you have notice period so if you put a cancellation in you can still change your mind in the 31 day period or whatever it is.  That gives you longer time for them to call you, or for you to put in a complaint.
  • Deal finishes in Feb so rang today (45 min wait) then gave 31 days notice to cancel.
Only want Signature + HD but all they could offer was £18 Signature and £4 HD. That's not good enough to stay as Freeview + Netflix covers most of our TV viewing.
  • Hi All
Just posted on main thread but think its bettet to post my offer here.
They have just upped my out of contract fee to from £50 to £90. For the £50 I was getting the following
    Entertainment Package
    HD
    Sports HD
    Cinema
I don't know what the breakdown of these prices were.  They have since offered me this for £78.00
    £25 Signature Package
    £5.00 Netflix
    £3.00 HD
    £4.00 Ultra HD
    £23.00 Sports HD
    £8.00 Cinema
    £10 Multi Screen
I told them I am not happy at all and my 21 yrs loyalty counts for nothing, I said i will go away to think about it. Reading this thread I really feel like I am being short changed. I am going to cancel tomorrow and hope they come back with a better offer. Should I call and speak to someone or just go through the cancellation button on my sky account? I cant see any my deals buttons anywhere.

Once you've put in your cancelation you'll need to go to sky.com/mydeal to see whats there.
  • I really don’t believe this.
So after excepting a deal that I wasn’t particularly happy with (Signature £21 and No HD as I’m not paying £6 for it) I now see that this has shown up on my Mydeal page. 😡😡😡 I only want Signature and HD for £18 and superfast broadband for £18. Is that too much to ask for £36? This is what I was trying to get a few posts back but someone said something about “Stacking?” 🙄
    What can I do?

  • Hi all, hoping you can offer some wisdom  :)

I called sky yesterday to cancel our package as the cost is nearly double what were originally paying and now out of contract. The offers I got weren’t very good and now I’ve seen what people have been offered here I’m glad I didn’t accept.

However I’ve only cancelled the tv not the internet as they confused me with the switching of the line timelines the woman was asking me about.

I’ve just been onto my deal and can see a better offer than I was offered on the tv but the broadband is still live at about £35/month. Do I need to threaten to leave/get them down on this then go into my offers and accept the TV?

    Any advise much appreciated!

I would suggest calling them to see what can do with broadband and phone if they don't budge i would suggest moving to now broadband which is 36mb for £22 a month and includes free anytime calls to mobiles and landlines

    Chat today

    Signature £15
    Sports £19
    Kids £1
    HD £2
total £37 had been £43 so happy with that although I know sports could been cheaper from what seen on here if put cancellation in.
Complication was wanted to add UHD and Netflix premium so they did that for £7, so paying same as before but now have them so can live with that.
