Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

The £52 package offered was via live chat, I also thought HD at that price was far too high at £6.
On MyDeals now is:
Signature £17, HD & Kids £2 each, Sports £14, Cinema £5 = £40. Thats pretty near your deal as you got Netflix.
Will hold out to see if I can get Signature for £15, ditch the HD and get SkyQ thrown for £36. Is that possible or am I being greedy ?

I wouldn't like to say what is possible but I think others will tell you yes, that is possible.
My advice based on my experience the other day is to wait a week after cancelling for them to call you. I never got my phone and email chats (initiated by me) to match what was on My deal but let us know how you get on!0 -
Failed negotiation!
I have Sky Entertainment and various other Sky things which I have at discounted prices.
Entertainment is now replaced by "Sky Signatures" basically the same with a couple of new features. They want £25/month for it, after haggling they offered it for £9.99 as I told them for that money I would want Amazon Prime or Netflix!
So we agreed to differ!
Contract is up in May I will play hard ball then.0 -
Looking at what deals they offer new customers as a basis for possibly renegotiating and adding broadband, there only seems to be one TV package and they automatically add on Netflix too, I can't see anyway to take it off the basket. I already get far more content than I could ever watch in the time I have free, I don't want more! so no Netflix.
Currently have Sky Entertainment + Sky Cinema and a small discount, the usual issue of price creep during contract end up a lot more than it was after you haggled the deal at the start.0 -
I've been trying to get a decent deal on my broadband so I went on live chat on Wednesday and they're still offering it to me for £27 a month. I said that's £10 more than what I was paying and quite a big increase for me so said no thanks. In the end I phoned them up and spoke to someone in India. She offered it to me for £18 a month so I excepted as I've been paying £17 a month for a while. Then she sorted me out a deal on the TV. I asked her to get rid of the sports channels as I hardly watch them. She offered me Signature £21 and HD £3. So £42 a month with Broadband.
Later that evening I went onto the sky mydeal page just to see if anything was there, and was surprised to see that I could now get Signature for £17, HD for £1, and a few others which I wasn't interested in. So I've excepted that offer on the website and taken screenshots incase Sky say they can't offer it at that price then I've got the proof that's what it said on screen.
So if I've done this properly, fingers crossed I'm getting the TV for £18 a month and the broadband for £18 too. £36 a month now sounds better than the £42 I was offered on the phone.
But does anyone know how long it takes for the My Sky app to update after you've excepted a new deal? My next few months payments are showing up around £60 a month without the discounts added on.

"So speaking with my back office team David, what's happened is that you were incorrectly offered your account for £42 as it was stacking two different offers. Since then when you accepted the £17 and £1 HD it's invalidated the other offers. So what you should have been offered is Signature £21, HD £6 and Broadband Superfast £18= £45 this would be the very best price I can offer you today or you can go for your tailored offers of Signature £17, HD £1 and Broadband Superfast £27=£45"
I've now put in my cancelation but the guy has gone for lunch.0
