Its not going so well for us....the mydeals page is offering us our current package for £36.50 (£17 Original TV, £17 Sky Sports + £2.50 HD) but no upgrade to Sky Q. Called up the number on the text message from them (we're about a week away from our notice expiring) to see if they would add Sky Q but were told "all our offers expired last week so if you want Sky Q you need to pay £99 for the installation". The best she could come up with was £78 for Signature TV, Sky Sports, HD, BT Sports and Netflix, plus the £99 installation. So we said no.

pattycake said:My deal is up at the beginning of February. I rang last week and pressed the number for cancellation. In fact, that was what we intended unless a good deal was offered. I was connected immediately which surprised me and I spoke to a lovely Scottish lady. She said she would look to save me money and after discussion we accepted £39 per month for 18 months for exactly what we have now for which we had been paying £51.
The £10 admin fee was unavoidable though. So, we have Signature, super fast broadband and free anytime calls. We are not interested in sport and we have Netflix and Amazon Prime already. Sky Q was suggested and we might go for that in the future but in the present climate, we prefer to minimise any ‘visitors’.0 -
It's just the completely different results people get all the time that winds me up. Some people seem to nail a mega deal and yet others seem to get very little off and especially if they have been with them for years. I am still in contract until June and I will leave for good, don't care what they offer. 400 channels of which 390 are junk anyway. the fact you still have to pay for HD channels now when UHD is the new thing is just a total pee take.
A lot of it has gone subscription method on top (discovery+, disney+) and everyone who is renewing is just paying for the premier league every season. My Amazon Prime sub hasn't changed for years and now I get Prem football matches included at certain times now.
Can't wait to leave and never line their pockets again0 -

Appreciate that it must be frustrating for the effort not to feel like it is rewarded. It is a mystery to me why my Sky Signature deal offer was £19 whereas people have quoted £15 and £17 recently, but who knows. I got quoted £2 more for signature and £3 for sport than vampgirl above. Very odd.
I also agree it is a joke that HD is still charged as a premium service. My dad (who should haggle more often than he does) still doesn't take the Sports channels in HD as he didn't want to pay for it some years ago. Sky HD will be 15 years old in May!0 -
18 month contract is up, currently paying £38 a month for the below:
Entertainment - £15
Kids - £1
Sports - £9
Cinema - £11
Sports HD - £2
Im on an old Sky+HD Box which is working but is now several years old, what should I aim to accept for a similar package ?0 -

£15pm Signature
£14 Sports HD
the rest I’m not sure of.
If you can repeat your better deals for above, that’s a good start.0 -
So I cancelled this morning and now in notice period, they offered:
Signature - £19
Kids - £2
HD - £6
Complete Sports - £20
Cinema - £5
So £52 per month, 18 month contract inc upgrade to SkyQ plus wanted a £10 admin fee, this is the first time ever for this and I have been with sky on and off since 2004 repeatedly cancelling and rejoining when the price suited.

Is this the phone offer or the offer from www.sky.com/mydeal ? If not check there as that might be better. So I cancelled this morning and now in notice period, they offered:

Do you not have Netflix/Ultimate TV? If that wasn't a typo £5/£6 is a lot for the HD package.
I got offered the same channels as you plus Netflix for £46 earlier this month via mydeals (see page 390). Others have got Signature and Sports for £15 and £14 respectively.0 -
Are Sky the same as Virgin, where you have 30 days from handing in your cancellation to change your mind?0
