Try three home mobile broadband £18 with cashback. No land-line, unlimited and 60mb down 50mb up where I am.pKaTz said:I need to get my package reduced. I am on the basic internet, and need more speed for kids games, working from home, you tube etc.
I am out of contract and currently have the following:
TV Original - £27.45
Broadband and Talk - £31.55 [Line Rental £18.99 + Broadband Unlimited £14.01]
A total of £59 a month.
I don't need netflix. We have a 4k Tv, so maybe HD /UHD would be nice but my 1TB SKY Q box is not compatible with UHD. Would they send me a new box if I upgrade to UHD? What happens to the programs recorded already? [Maybe that's for another thread]
Any help appreciated or suggestions on what I should expect. Don't need movies etc - just the basic - Signature.
For the internet whats the fastest speed sky can offer and is this better that Virgin or maybe 5G home internet?
Thanks in advance.
I cancelled skyky+ they offered me to record only £5 per month. But the offers are coming in at £17 for basic package and *I think* sky q box but not bothered at all. Combine with the Netflix £4.11 pm. Via Turkey vpn it all can come in at a good price. Only thing bothers me is they will stop the ability to record even the BBC and a dvr would prob cost more than £60 py. Will see what they offer next few days.0 -
Thanks. I'm on Three for my mobile and their 4G is very poor at home - will their broadband be any better?skidrow1 said:

Im afraid not. Three broadband uses the same 4g signal which your phone uses so if your phone signal isn't great then its best to avoid getting three mobile home broadband. You can always have a look on Uswitch for broadband deals but the best deals will come in 3 weeks (Black Friday). I was offered sky signature with sky super fast broadband for £35 last week on a 18 month contract. I got this offer after placing my TV cancellation request with sky and was offered it approx 2 weeks into my cancellation notice. I did not originally have broadband with sky, just tv but I took the offer and switched over to them. Either way if they don't give you a good deal on broadband you could always switch that to another provider and haggle on the tv bit but you may have some better haggling power if you tell them you want to keep all your services with them .Thanks. I'm on Three for my mobile and their 4G is very poor at home - will their broadband be any better?

Multiscreen £8.50
As an extra I added BT Sport for £22.

Prob not. Do a speed test using one of the free apps see what you get roughly.pKaTz said:

If you get good reception in one room for Instance sit the router on the winDow ledge. Just an idea. Or broadband speed checker. Co. Uk
Maybe they now offer 5g for home broadband if it is now live(unsure) but the router they gave me is only 4g but you can always haggle On there chat service.
I'm away to see what's in my sky offers page. I hope everyone knows of the turkey vpn(wimdscribe) chrome add on. Let your Netflix expire, use the vpn and go to Netflix from Turkey and the conversion including the 11p fee is £4.11 pm. For top package.1 -
£17pm basic package + "free" sky q box 18 months. Don't know if this includes a new dish. Was £15.50 the year before on sky+. So going to have to take it.0
