Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

The last one I did was in January (so 10 months ago, sorry not very recent!). It was only a 6 month discount, but was free to cancel anytime (31 days notice) with no new lengthy contract needed.ox-boy said:Has anyone had any luck with negotiating a rolling contract of late?
With the covid situation i am not keen on committing to an 18 month contract0 -
Successful haggle (after 1.5hrs on phone though...)
Currently on what they would now call Signature, Sports, HD and I was just out of contract - but been with them several years, just renegotiate every time like a good money-saver. Wanted to add Ultra HD (as out of contract and getting new TV). Yesterday that would have been £53/m for new customers, today with Black Friday deals that's £45, adding Netflix and Multiscreen is only £54.50 so thought I would splash out and get that as well.
Customer services couldn't match it, they passed me onto Black Friday deal team, they could match the monthly fee but wanted £150 set up fee for new boxes, asked to be put through to cancellation team instead.
They were able to match it and only charge £25 for new boxes (instead of £40 if I were a new customer) and they even managed to get the monthly bill down to £49.50 as well.
TL;DR Only cancellations team could match new deals, and they were actually able to beat the Black Friday deal prices on top. £49.50/month for Sky signature, Sports, Ultra HD, Netflix Ultimate and Multiscreen.0 -
Getting close to my renewal date....so was checking offers etc..
but I have sky entertainment.....what’s the difference between that and the new sky signature package
thanks0 -
Sky Signature is the new base package and combines Sky Entertainment and Sky Box Sets into one single package. Box Sets and Sky Entertainment are now longer available to buy or renew to - so you'd have to move to Sky Signature - It's around £25 per month unless you're successful haggling. They've also now scraped Ultimate On Demand, and created the Ultimate Add On - which is essentially Netflix - Currently £2.50 on Black Friday Deal.dazzaofdagenham said:Getting close to my renewal date....so was checking offers etc..

When you say ‘complete sports’ do you mean SKY and BT sports?fuzzylogic200 said:Negotiated a new deal on the chat. Offered a new 18 month minimum term ;

I ended up adding the multiroom, so £72 total. I was on the old Sky+HD box and no BB (I had BB from BT).1 -
