I am exactly on similar deal, the new offer is £17+1 for signature and hd. Have around 4 weeks with the notice so will try if a better offer is made availablejem16 said:
I've been given Sky Entertainment with Box sets and HD for £19.20pm with no contract. They didn't send a letter/email, it just happened. However as I had only been paying £12 and then latterly £14.20 I put in my notice to cancel.sharonjeff said:Has anyone received a letter/email from Sky advising that their contract is due to expire and offered a new deal?0 -
Yes I see the offer on My Deal exactly the same at £17 for Signature and £1 for HD. They did phone a week ago but I was out so missed the call. Then had a text yesterday to review my options which shows the £18.vini_1983 said:

Of course. Once signed in I went to Help, Sky TV, Sky+, Account and Billing, Account and Subscriptions, Change my Sky Package, Upgrade my Sky Package, and then `Yes, I still need a hand`, `No, I want to get in touch` and then FINALLY `Change my Sky Package`bhlfc1 said:hi, could i ask you where did you use the chat feature, i have tried looking for it but can't find it.
long way in.
I`ve just tried it again and it does get you to chat. Good luck.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -
If you look back a page u will see my deal for similar price. Essentially £0.50p more than you but includes Netflix (which is the premium account) and UHD. With 4 mini boxes also. I thought the admin fee was £10? Anyway I wasn`t paying that either so eventually got them to remove it. Oh and £25 up front for installation/equipment.ad_cska said:Hi all, I wondered if anyone can give some pointers on whether I am getting a good re-contracting deal or not! My current contract expires Feb 2021 but I have some time on my hands and wanted to see if I could re-contract for a longer period at a lower cost. I can only take Sky TV as I don't get fibre in my area so I'm stuck with Virgin cable in that department. I have been offered my same deal, which is:
Sky Signature
Sky Sports - complete pack
Sky HD
Sky Q Multiscreen
At a cost of £44.50/month. There is obviously the £20 admin fee which miffs me slightly but I'll see if I can work my magic for them to waive it.
I would be really grateful if someone could let me know if this is a good deal or not?
So I`d say that isn`t the best deal you could get. Personally I`d either push for Ultimate On Demand(& UHD) to be added at no extra cost or lower the price. Good luck.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -
I tried that method (‘change my package’ chat) at first and the lowest they would go was only 35% off, so I asked to cancel as that still wasn’t affordable and he said he was sorry he wasn’t allowed to go any lower, but that I wouldn’t need to cancel as if I spoke to retentions instead they would definitely offer lower and he was right. He directed me to this link for retentions instead: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv where I used the messaging chat service and the first offer they gave straight away was 65% off, followed by 75% off when I asked if they could go any lower. Very straightforward and no back and forth lengthy chat (the first part is even just automated options), so all sorted very quickly.shavy65 said:

I`ve just tried it again and it does get you to chat. Good luck.
So now when I’m helping friends/family I go straight to the above link for retentions instead of the usual chat and the first offer they make is always at least 50% to 65% off straight away and the whole thing is usually sorted within 20 minutes or so as it seems to be more straightforward than the usual chat service (who often use more back and forth negotiating or chitchat about services, which can take an hour or more and still not be the lowest offer).0 -
Thanks, I'll do my best! Always hard to know what to say to the chat agents so they come down but also don't get too annoyed when you keep asking to lower the price hahashavy65 said:

Update.
Have been away from Sky since April. After 6 weeks started receiving e-mails from them.
Old sky HD Box - 18 month deal. £10 admin fee.
£13pm Signature SD
£12pm Sky sports HD
Total £25pm.
Hope this helps.1 -
Sorry I don’t know. I don’t have Sky myself and you have to log in to check exactly how it works so I can’t check it now. Even that first time I was helping a family member, so not using my own device or account, just helping them / talking them through it. They were showing me the screen at every stage, but I don’t remember it (it was many weeks ago) specifying what they were using. It was just a pop up box on that Sky website retentions page.ryath said:

It's neither of those. It's basically just the Chat box on the website linked above.ryath said:
