Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

I’ve had a huge battle with Sky this time round.
I have/had:
Sky Q Signature (entertainment + box sets)
Sky Superfast broadband
Sky HD
Multiroom
This went up to £77 at the end of my contract.
I got offered a reasonable deal of £58 but thought I’d try my luck and put the cancellation in. Other similar deals posted here seem to be around £50
No contact at all during the 31 days notice period. I contacted Sky via phone a few days before cut off and was offered a deal for £75, a £2 discount...
Cut off date arrived and went. The deals being offered now are still poor (still £70+) and to add insult to injury, for Sky Superfast alone they want £27 per month plus a £30 admin fee that can’t be waived at all (believe me - lots of trying. I still have all the equipment set up. It’s literally clicking a button on Sky’s part!). Others on here seem to be as low as £20pm. Also some contradictions with some ‘Retentions’ advisors offering deals whilst another saying they can’t as “it’s not an active account”.
I’m a bit stuck on where to go now. One advisor from Retentions sent me a number for a ‘Sales’ team. I’m begrudged to leave Sky for a competitor as I quite like the package but out of principle won’t be ripped off...!
Never had this much of a struggle before so he warned...0 -
Be aware that if you do leave Sky then under lockdown its unknown as to when you will get a service turned on from any ISP .

I currently have
entertainment
boxsets
HD
Sports + HD
Cinema
Im currently paying £43 and i have 10 days left until cut off. When i spoke with them, they offered the same pakage for £46 plus £20 admin fee. I turned this down as i dont want to pay more for the same package and point blank refused the admin charge.
I have had no contact since, but im not going to renew now anyway because after checking what we actually watch it is mainly either the free to air channels, or Netflix
I have also looked at IPTV, which may be an option at a later date.

Sky are currently offering £110 cashback through Topcashback for broadband without TV. I would recommend screenshotting this, as the £170 I was expecting last year returned a measly £70, and being my words against theirs, that's what I was stuck with.
Otherwise, unfortunately this is prime time for Sky. Everyone is trapped indoors watching tele, so your chances of getting much of a discount now are slim. Usually the summer would be the time they would be competing most aggressively with the sunny outdoors. Not now.
If you are on a pricey monthly contract, my advice would be to stay on it for a few months until (hopefully) the lockdown is lifted. Should be some good deals around then to maintain your custom.0 -
Did you have any luck with this? i have the exact same problem and sky just keeps sending to me the 'sky community' who i am pretty sure can't offer me a new deal!!0

I'm currently on £40 a month for all of the channels however the best they have offered me on the phone is £70. I'm going to give my notice in and see what happens.

I went through the cancellation chat today and was offered:
Signature: £23
HD: £3
Movies: £8
Kids: £1
Ultimate: £6
UHD: £4
£20 admin fee
So £45. Not great and no movement at all, so will be cancelling.0
