I only had ent and Kids at the time

Then I have the sneaky feeling that they lied to you, instead of admitting they messed up they pretended they were doing you a favour and gave you the refund. I tried checking my T&C's as I keep the new contract emails in a separate folder but the links give you a 'page not found' message.

I presume going forward you were still paying the £15 a month?
  • Just phoned up and queried the same.....I cancelled the Sky sports..( F1 )...quoting purely as a mone6 option.....then found out my cinema has gone up by £9....after much debate...they gave me a one off credit of £20

I think we crossed posted, I wasn't thinking of Cinema & Sports (which will be linked) but the rolling monthly add-on's such as Kids, HD, Boxsets and the Ultimate(HD+Netflix) deals.

once I removed kids as I no longer need it, they bumped it up to 20+ i don't have internet with them, once I pointed it out, they gave me a credit note and I am paying 15 a month now.

KIds was only £1 extra for me

My Sky entertainment, HD and Kids ends next month. I only just signed up for Sky Q and Ultimate On Demand a few months ago. I hate that everything is always ending at different times. I wish we could just start a new contract for everything when renewing.

Also what happened to online chat and negotiations online. I hate using the phone to negotiate. A few months ago I was able to use FB messenger to renegotiate so not sure if that still exists? Any ideas?

Looks like their putting more barriers to prevent haggling, just call them when you have time, better than paying full price

If you only signed up to Q a few months back then did that not put you in a new 18 month contract? Your discounts on Entertainment & Kids may end next month but you may find you're stuck paying full price until the end of the Q contract with not much room for negotiation.

Well I called and wasn't the best.

Currently paying £49 for the below:

    SKY Entertainment
    SKY Q 2tb & Mini Box
    Ultimate On Demand
    SKY HD
    SKY Kids

But its going up to £62 next month as my Entertainment, HD and Kids is expiring. Best the retentions guy could do was £55 but there was also a £10 admin fee to renew which is new to me. Didn't ever need that before on any package renegotiation.

Now looking back on posts here, loads of people getting HD and Kids for £1 which isn't what I am being offered. I just want to pay what I have been paying before. They also never offered me to refund or credit the admin fee as someone above posted about.

Is it pure luck people get a decent deal.

I still have an old SKY HD box not the Q box which I think is overpriced, perhaps that gives you more bargaining power,

My contract is up so I used Facebook Messenger to chat to a great CS rep. They offered me the following:

    Sky Entertainment - £15 (down from £27)
    HD - £1 (down from £5)
    Box Sets - £1 (down from £5)
    Kids - £1 (down from £5)

Total of £18 per month (for 18 months) which I am happy with as it should be £52 per month. The first offer was for £39. I'm still on Sky HD but didn't want to move to Sky Q anyway. Also had to pay £10 admin fee.
