Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

It's that wonderful time of year again when I need to renegotiate Sky.
Current deal:
Sky Superfast Fibre - £25 per month (currently mid contract so not up for renewal but happy with it) - For those interested, I refused to take Broadband Plus as I didn't see the value so ended up with just SF Fibre at £25 and get solid 80mb, no issues at all.
Current TV Deal:
Sky Q Entertainment - £22 per month
Sky Q Experience (multiscreen) - £13 per month
HD - £1
Total £36 - I know this wasn't a great deal but it got me Sky Q, with the 2TB box and installation all for free 18 months ago so worked out ok at the time.
When I contacted them via messenger to cancel I got offered the following:
Entertainment: £15
HD: £2.50
Multi: £13
Total £30.50
Also offered Entertainment pack (Netflix and box sets) for £9.50 (total of £40 per month)
18 month term, £20 admin fee.
We don't need Netflix or box sets really so wasn't too interested in that and was hoping to push down the Entertainment and HD elements further so pushed the button and continued to cancel.
Services now due to end early January.
I've only had 1 offer on the Sky Q box to 'come back for £20 for entertainment'. I've had no other offers via email or phone so far, and nothing in app or on the website.
I've also checked:
sky.com/comebacktosky
sky.com/mydeal
Neither had any deals available and just offered me webchat so took the plunge today and tried the webchat links.
Best offer today:
Entertainment - £17
HD £1
Box sets £1
Multi Room £1
Cinema £11
£10 admin fee.
I challenged the movies as its currently on the website for £10 and she quickly reduced however wasn't willing to go lower than £10. I pushed on the multi room and entertainment as I know people have been getting as low as £12 and £6.50 for each. I'll only take cinema as an option if it gets really cheap and I'm not interested in box sets at the moment but the best deal so far was the one offered before I actually cancelled.
Will wait and see what happens over the next week but is anyone having any joy getting any better deals since the black friday promotions ended?
Also - the only place I've seen an offer on the Sky Q box is when I go into the 'shop' area of 'my account' - is there somewhere else to find offers on the new boxes or is that it?
Prior to Sky Q I was often able to get 50-60% deals but it does seem like these are much harder to get at the moment - is anyone else finding the same?0 -
Sky don't seem to be playing the deal ball this year, after being with them for 6ish years for broadband only & line,I've had some great deals.
Maybe wait until after Christmas and see if I can get a deal, otherwise I'm going to have to look for a new provider.Dony worry,be happy...0 -
just had to end an "extended" live chat to discuss cancelling my sky service,
i was paying £35 for sports & entertainment in hd but offer ending soon and up to £66, no way i'm paying that!
having been on nearly an hour and no where near an offer on the table to tempt me to stay, more interested in selling me broadband to which i'd earlier said i was in contract with another isp,
i politely said i'd get back in touch later (my dinner was ready)!!
email just come through saying my contract ends on 18th :rotfl:!
and if i change my mind to get back in touch.....no thanks sky0 -
On Chat at the minute.
Seems like getting to end of offers.
Just offered
- Sky Entertainment - £15 // Due to a £12 off
- Sports & HD - £19 // Due to a £11 off
- Mulitscreen - £13
Total for 18 month contract = £47
What I can do is then get you our Sky Q 2TB box with a mini box and due to your loyalty and our VIP scheme this would be at only £0 upfront cost instead of the original price of £298.
If they would do a discount on Multiscreen, I think I would go for it. But it's not looking promising0 -

i'd take that at £37 without the multiscreen in a shot0 -
So a question for those who have SKY Q and ended up sending it back.
What device are you now using to watch TV0 -

I have an Apple TV 4K downstairs and will get another for upstairs but in the meantime, I’m using an Amazon Fire TV 4K stick upstairs. Both are excellent but as an iPhone user, I will benefit from having the Apple TV app managing the integration of all my viewing on IOS devices only. So multiple Apple TV’s and my phone take on the role of Sky Q.
I also have Chromecasts on all my TVs for adhoc and casting apps not on Apple TV or Firestick e.g casting BritBox upstairs or Now TV everywhere. Works great! Don’t watch live TV anymore except BBC News and Sky News through their apps. I don’t miss Sky Q at all.
For the case where someone is coming round to watch something live like on Channel 4 then I record it on a hard drive direct via my TV.MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%

Latest offer by text.
Entertainment £13
HD £1
sports with HD £15
Multiscreen £13
Sky Q 1TB UHD £20 one off
So £42 for 18 months
Think I may go for that. What do you think?0 -
That seems to be quite reasonable based on what others are getting at the moment - it doesn't sound like they're keen on discounting the multiroom at all at the moment! How long ago did you cancel? I've still not had anything better than the come back for £20 offer sent after cancelling.0
