Can anyone offer any advice, I am at my wits end trying to negotiate with these people!
We are platinum VIP customers, I negotiated a deal early 2018 so that we were paying £64pcm for our package, now that the deal has ended, its jumped back up to £108pcm which is too much.
We have SkyQ 2TB, 2 x mini boxes, fibre max and land line. We don't want to remove anything from our package, we have what we want.
We currently pay (now that our £64 deal has ended) -
Entertainment £26.95
Ultimate on demand (Inc netflix) £12
Kids £5
HD £5
Multiscreen £13
Line rental £18.99
Fibre Max £22
Eve & w/end calls £5
TOTAL £107.94
I called up and asked for a new deal or we would be cancelling and was told this is the best they can do -
Entertainment £22. 00
Ultimate on demand (Inc netflix) £12
Kids £5
HD £5
Multiscreen £13
Line rental £0
Fibre Max Inc line rental £32
Eve & w/end calls £5
TOTAL £94.00
I said its still too much, said I wanted to cancel and was told ok that's fine. I have spoken to them via Facebook messenger, the messaging service on their website, and the "value team" and been told repeatedly that that's the best deal and it's that or cancel.
Do you think it is? It still seems high to me. But who do I speak to to get anything better?!The_Fat_Controller wrote: »Looks reasonable to me.
Err, that's pretty much full price?
For the OP check on the Q box itself and on your online account.0 -
Sorted. Got someone sensible of live chat and got them down to £56.45 for all of the above, I'm happy with that.0

Hi all. Have been with Sky for a number of years
We have sky plus and have just had a letter come through the door offering us enteratinment package on a continous rolling contract for £10 a month (with hd) - I quite fancy having sports back and possibly movies - I chatted with them online with the following results-->
We have been offered A 2TB box plus a mini box for multiroom.
Entertainment package, sports, movies and HD (as well as multroom obviously)
18 month contract for the box - but movies and sports are on a monthly rolling contract -
Total of £40 a month.
Am I likely to get better than that do you think?
Thanks !

Just posting my yearly, (well now every 18 months since Sky Q) haggle with Sky.
This year I had a better time talking on the phone rather than using the Live Chat. Usually it was better the other way round. Anyway, I shopped around for broadband deals and found that Now TV broadband were currently offering £30 per month for 12 months ( 60mbps avg, Anytime calls, Unlimited downloads). So I used this to haggle as my live chat offers wer around £34.50 per month.
I dont need sports or cinema. I previouslsy got last year through Live chat:
TV
The offer is 12 months 25% discount on your TV subscription. The discount would cover Original/Variety/Box Sets Pack, Sports and Cinema packs. It does NOT cover stand-alone Premium Channels, Sky Box Office, Sky Store, pay-per-view services, Multiscreen or the Sky Sports HD pack.
I have added 25% off for 12 months on Box Sets bundle and removed Sports and HD pack
Signed you up under 18 month contract on Sky Q 2TB box + 1 mini box
It will be £40.50 a month for Box Sets and Sky Q multiscreen for 12 months. £40.50 for TV and £36.99 for phone and broadband
Phone & Broadband
The total cost for your Sky Talk line rental & Broadband package would be £29.49 per month for 12 months. I will also give you a credit of £50 one off in your Sky bill. The £50 one off credit will be adjusted in your next/upcoming bills. The effective price including £50 one off credit works out to £25.33 per month over 12 months.
Total cost = £65.83 for 18 months
When I rang up the agent was surprised at the NowTV broadband offer as he said they usually have better deals than them. I said if they can't match it I'm leaving as they are part of the same company, same service, why would I pay more. He was offering me Sky Talk Anytime Extra, Superfast Broadband for £34.50. Anyway in the end I got:
New deal
TV
Entertainment for £17.00 (Down from £27.00)
Boxsets for £1.00 (Down from £5.00)
HD for £1.00 (Down from £5.00)
Multiroom for £13.00
Total = £32 per month for 18 months
Broadband & Talk
59.2-74.6MB guaranteed 53.6MB speed
Sky WiFi for Free
Sky Talk Anytime Extra for Free
Sky Broadband Superfast for £27 (Down from £32)
Sky Talk Line Rental for Free
Sky Broadband Boost for £2 (Down from £5)
Total = £29 for 18 months
TOTAL = £61 per month for 18 months
Happy with that price, Didnt want netflix as I already share that. I paid a admin fee and postage for the new router. Again I dont mind paying for that as I'm happy with the the total price. I also bought another mini box for £69, bit of a rip off as I dont own it but I pay for multirooom so thought I may as well utilise it. I've been a Sky customer for 13 years.
As I said, I'm happy with my deal and will renegotiate in 18 months. Any thouughts or comments are welcome.
Good luck in your haggles0 -
I cancelled my sky tv 2 weeks ago as my cost for entertainment, on sky+ box, multiroom and BB super fast went up to £65. Had seen the black friday offers so decided to call and see what I could get. As a platinum VIP member I got a 2tb q box and 2 mini boxes with installation for £90 upfront, entertainment for £12 ultimate on demand + multiscreen including netflix and boxsets for £12, hd for £2.50 and fibre broadband unlimited for £27 with a £10 admin fee, so £53.50 a month for 18 months. I'm saving £8.99 a month on Netflix so am really pleased with this. I advise you to cancel and then call them before the black friday sale ends. All deals are available to new and existing customers.0
