Offers come and go I suppose but the most interesting takeaway from my conversation was

    - new customer price 77
    - existing customer new contract 91

The first guy I spoke with couldn't do anything so he passed me to the "value team" whatever that means and he couldn't or wouldn't do anything either!

cancel it and wait a week or so. You could follow through with the cancellation and set up a new contract with your spouse as a last resort to see if that brings better offers

I've found some success with the SKy agents you see in shopping centres, last I checked in the summer was 15 pounds ent and Sky fibre max 23 on Sky q , not bad

I went to Cancel my Sky TV Today - Sky Q, Cinema, HD, Ultimate On-Demand.

Was half-heartedly asked if I was interested in a better offer (Im not, Im switching to VM Ultimate Oomph) I said no and that was it. Wow! Loyalty ha!

  • As I have the £3 Ultimate on Demand deal, if I submit my cancellation notice but reverse this notice before my service cuts off, can I keep the deal? Thanks in advance.

I've been wondering the same myself as my discounts for Entertainment and HD run out at the end of March. It should carry on unless you do actually go through with the cancellation but they may use it as leverage.

Are you in contract for Ultimate on Demand or is it a rolling 30 day offer? If your in contract, I don't believe you will be able to submit a cancellation notice on the entertainment package (everything else out of contract you will though).

You need to be very careful when recontracting for additional offers, always keep the main entertainment package in contract for as long as possible when doing so. If you're in contract for other packages, then I don't believe you'll be able to cancel your entertainment (HD is fine) - This then reduces your negotiation power.

The UoD offer is a 30 day notice rolling contract for 18 months, it was taken out in July 2019 so worst case is I'll lose 9 or 10 months of it if I cancel.

All of the( minor) add-ons such as HD, Kids, Boxsets & UoD are rolling monthly deals and can be added or removed at will.

The exceptions are Cinema & Sports which are normally 12/18 months.
  • Been on live chat to sky.com/live-chat/pending-cancel-tv and only getting crap deals.

Any advice? Best deal I've had so far is £37 for Entertainment, UoD, HD and multiroom

I was offered (and accepted) an offer of £38.50 per month for the same as you so that’s a better deal.

I was happy enough with that as it’s less than I currently pay.

I'd go back on and ask them what the services breakdown costs are, once you have this post that and it should be easier to advise. It's hard to work of the total line.
