All Sky Q TV boxes belong to Sky, they'll send packaging if you cancel.

Cheers for this, I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

I had Entertainment @ £15 and HD & Boxsets @ £1 each so my offer for UoD was for just £2 which was added to the £1 for Boxsets. My future bills are showing as gone up from £17 a month to £19 so it's costing us £2 a month more but saving the son (who paid for it on his own account) £8.99 a month so all's good.

Our first Sky Q contract ends in a few months and I am wondering what to do.

We have got a 2TB box, UHD and a mini box. We never use the mini box.....the Sky Q app is as good as the mini box as far as we are concerned. I think we paid an extra £12pm for the Sky Q equipment. Can we get it any cheaper if we return the mini box?

Live Chat for cancellations is no longer there I don't think, it is available for other issues but they want you to phone up to cancel. presuming you are out of contract try a call.

    thank you.
I couldn't even find normal chat. You can use messenger on facebook, but that suggested they "reply within several hours"!

The £12 per month(now £13) extra cost is for the "Sky Experience" which enables multi room & UHD viewing. If you don't use UHD just cancel the multiroom element (not sure if it's a minimum term option or just 31 days notice).

I've used Messenger before with great success, I actually prefer it as I can go about my normal routine without hanging on the phone until someone answers and then the call itself.

UHD is the only bit I do use for the football mainly so I might try and negotiate a deal to include it when the time comes.I have just found what the Sky Experience covers but it doesn't seem to cover UHD.

    'What is Sky Q experience?
    ● Sky Q experience means you can watch all the channels included in your Sky TV package in different rooms.
    ● Access your main box in any room with Sky Q Mini boxes, so you can watch different channels in different rooms at the same time. They're wireless and don't need to connect to your dish, so no mess and no fuss.

    ● Connect up to four Mini boxes and watch on two TVs at the same time with the 1TB box, or three TVs at the same time with the 2TB box. You can even pause in one room and pick up where you left off in another!

    ● Download the Sky Q app to enjoy live and on demand TV on your compatible tablet or mobile. With Sky Q experience, you can save your Sky Q recordings to your mobile device and watch them when you want.

    ● With Sky Q experience and Ultimate On Demand, you'll also be able to get your favourite Netflix and Sky shows on up to 4 devices.'

If you click on the UHD link (a still from The Greatest Showman in my case) you'll see in small print "Sky Q 2TB box, Q experience subscription and UHD TV required. Content depends on TV subscription. Sky Sports/Cinema required for sports/movies."

Got disconnected last night. This morning tried chat.

    £11 entertainment
    £1 kids
    £1 hd.

    18 month contract.
Was that for Sky Q or Sky HD (older box)although I'm not sure it makes much difference these days.

    Thanks for that.

Trying to break down the Q Experience subscription is complicated and it also appears if you want only one part of it you still have the pay the full amount.

Sky Go Extra is also included in it but I think anyone who has a Sky Subscription can get it by joining the VIP programme which apparently costs nothing.
