After much to-ing and fro-ing we've had the following installed & activated yesterday:

    Sky Entertainment: £10.00
    Sky Cinema: £10.00
    HD Pack: £1.00
Ultimate On Demand (Box sets & Netflix): £3.00
    Sky Q Multiscreen: £13.00
Sky Superfast Broadand (inc line Rental) £30.00
    Sky Broadband Boost : £0.00

Had a 2tb Sky Q box & mini installed free yesterday.

Plus a free wifi booster & a £90.00 credit to my account to make up for an additional discount I was promised & never received.

Total package cost £67.00 per month for 18 months.

When you apply to cancel, after a week login to your sky account and click sky.com/mydeal

On there it's better than the retention deal I was offered

    Entertainment £15
    Cinema £10
    HD £1
    Kids £1
    Box sets £1

    Total £28

One thing I did ask was why does the 2tb box cost £99. An "upfront cost".
    It's mine then? No
Do I get my £99 back when I cancel? No
So where does my £99 go? Forgive me for being black and white but Sky wants £99 for absolutely no reason, with no explanation.

Got all channels on Sky HD at £40, deal running out next month.

Was offered £48 for 18 months on chat, £45 on phone, then processed cancellation. As soon as I did have been offered following online:

    Sky Entertainment
    £15
    Kids
    £1
    Box Sets
    £1
    HD
    £1
    Sky Cinema and Sky Sports
    £22
    Total monthly cost
    £40

Will wait it out for a short while as I was told BT Sports is being integrated soon and maybe new deals. Also might try for Sky Q.

    Is this a good deal?

    Here is your package summary:
Sky Entertainment Pack @ £27.00 pm £10 off
Sky Kids Pack @ £5.00 pm £4 off
Sky Box Set Pack @ £5.00 pm £4 off
Sky HD Pack @ £5.00 pm £4 off
    Sports & Cinema Pack @ £41.00 pm £15 off
    With Talk Evening-Weekend Extra @ £5.00 pm
Broadband Super fast @ £32.00 pm £5 off
So your total monthly cost will be £120.00 per month. There will a one time admin fee of £10.00 added to the next bill. Its a 18 months contract. After the discount you will pay £78.00 pm for 18 months and thereafter £120.00 pm.

I was discussing with a friend about having Sky q fitted and he advised me to order just one mini box and when the fitter arrives they will try and sell you additional boxes at £69,99 which is cheaper than when you make the order, also he claimed the fitter can add box sets and Netflix for £6 which again is cheaper than I was quoted, any one else had a similar experience

I thought the new boxes were always the property of Sky but I am sure someone else will advise you better than me,

This is cheaper for box sets and Netflix at the moment for existing subscribers on a 30 day rolling contract https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sky-ultimate-on-demand-sky-box-sets-and-netflix-3258175

All Sky Q TV boxes belong to Sky, they'll send packaging if you cancel.

Cheers for this, I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

I had Entertainment @ £15 and HD & Boxsets @ £1 each so my offer for UoD was for just £2 which was added to the £1 for Boxsets. My future bills are showing as gone up from £17 a month to £19 so it's costing us £2 a month more but saving the son (who paid for it on his own account) £8.99 a month so all's good.

    Hi all,

the sky help website and Contact Us pages all mention Live Chat, but its impossible to find. I don't want to cancel my subscription yet but wanted to see what they would offer first. Does anyone have a link? I did find a page in the Sky Community forum which suggested Live Chat was discontinued!
    cheers

Live Chat for cancellations is no longer there I don't think, it is available for other issues but they want you to phone up to cancel. presuming you are out of contract try a call.
