if you are still in contract, probably you can't, but you could ask.
I don't understand your TV package breakdown, you can't be paying £39.50 for box sets?
You should be targeting approximately £15 for entertainment
£1-£2 box sets
£10 Cinema
£1 HD
£12 Q experience
This would halve your TV pack.
You can easily get your phone / broadband down to £30, and then look at £5 for the anytime extra (do you use this feature or could you use your mobile phones more and exclude it completely?)
They're on the legacy Boxsets package which means they got it before Q came out.
Edit: which means they can't have the Q experience either I think, so you're right, there's something wrong there.0 -
Ive been with them since sky q came out and we are paying
TV
£69.50
Broadband & Talk
£39.76
£109 per month, Im fed up of paying this, what do you think I can get this down to?
That's horrendous legacy pricing, read some of the comments on here going back up to 5 pages. That'll tell you what you should be aiming for.0 -
yes, check www.sky.com/mydeal now that you are cancelled.
What package do you have that you want to get to this price?
Thanks. On that page it is offering me Entertainment for £15 p/m and Sky Sports for £17 p/mColin_Maybe wrote: »Considering new customers can get Sky Fibre Max + Sky Entertainment for £42 a month for 24 months (Includes line rental & Sky Talk, £39.95 one-off cost) it's too much. Ask about moving to Entertainment + HD if it suits. That will cost you £22+£5 full price, don't forget the BB is separate and isn't tied in. What BB do you have? ADSL or fibre?
My current package is:
Variety Pack £16.75 instead of £33.50
Sky Sports pack £14 instead of £28
Sky Sports HD £2
Line Rental £9.49 instead of £18.99
Broadband Unlimited £5.50 instead of £11.01
Sky Talk Evenings and Weekends £4
As I say, I don't really need the call package, and I don't need the kids channels as I don't have kids.
I don't really care about HD channels tbh. I get the Sports with HD because they moved people on to HD automatically for £2 more p/m and then get the usual HD channels but don't want all channels in HD.0 -
I think you will struggle with that expectation.
Full price entertainment is £22 and Sports is £30, £52 total.
you have been offered £32 which is approx a 38% discount, that's good going for the limited channels that you are opting for.
The more you add on, the more likely you will be to get a better deal, i.e. you are of more value to them.
After further reading I think you’re right and I’m going to take it.
Entertainment £15
Sports Hd £17
Kids £1
Box sets £1
And HD that should really be standard £1
Maybe holding out could net a couple of quid but I’ve lost the will :rotfl:0 -

Im out of contract and I signed up the first day sky q was announced and this was the pricing. I called up and best they could do first was £91 and then transferred, load of 30 mins dribble and got it down to £83. Still think I can do better so I cancelled, not in contract.Kind Regards

Hi folks,
I've just cancelled my Sky TV, Broadband and Line Rental.
Been with Sky 12 years, and the last few years I've been on a 50% discount, usually ringing up when I move in to the last 31 days of my contract though last year I just got a letter through the door from Sky saying they had automatically applied my 50% discount for another 12 months and only needing to get in touch if I don't want to do so.
My subscriptions run out March 2nd so I've cancelled everything today to end on the 2nd.
Currently paying £51.74 though that goes up to £97.50 when the discouts end. First time speaking to them on the messaging service I got offered a mix of discounts that totalled up to £51.99 but they also charge a £20 admin fee now apparently that would effectively mean my total monthly cost would be £53.10 on an 18 month contract as that is also apparently what they offer now. This was however with losing my talk package (£4) and the kids channels). I'm on an old package (Variety) and now Kids are separate from Entertainment so i don't actually want kids channels. But still, I'm effectively paying more to lose some channels and my calls package.
I have played hardball and said I'd think about it and shortly after spoke to someone directly on the 'values team' number to see if I could get a better offer through them. Got a worse offer so for now I have actioned the cancellation.
I've heard in the past about people getting offers through their Sky box and also on their online Sky account, are these still a regular thing? I've also heard that week 3 after cancellation is the week where you tend to get the best offers to stay with them, so again is that a current trend or one from the past?
I don't currently have my Sky Box connected to my router so I'll need to do that to see if I have any offers on my box.
I could live with £53.10 whilst losing the kids channels and talk package at the end of the day as I don't need either at all, but I'd rather get a better deal if possible.Thanks. On that page it is offering me Entertainment for £15 p/m and Sky Sports for £17 p/m
My current package is:
Variety Pack £16.75 instead of £33.50
Sky Sports pack £14 instead of £28
Sky Sports HD £2
Line Rental £9.49 instead of £18.99
Broadband Unlimited £5.50 instead of £11.01
Sky Talk Evenings and Weekends £4
As I say, I don't really need the call package, and I don't need the kids channels as I don't have kids.
I don't really care about HD channels tbh. I get the Sports with HD because they moved people on to HD automatically for £2 more p/m and then get the usual HD channels but don't want all channels in HD.
Sorted everything out today.
Will now be paying £47pm for:
Entertainment Pack £13 instead of £30
Sky Sports pack £17 instead of £30
Sky Sports HD £2
Line Rental £8.99 instead of £18.99
Broadband Unlimited £6.01 instead of £11.01
So I'll be paying £4.74 less per month than I was on before today. I've lost the kids channels and the weekend/evenings call plan, but I literally do not use either. Got them to waive the admin fee, too.
This time I went through this link provided on a forum I have been a regular on for far more years than I care to mention:

What is weird is now they do things in an odd and frankly stupid way. Previous years I've been able to use livechat to strike a deal which the agent then applies to my account and everything is great. The agent who agreed a deal with me today though could apparently only apply the tv element of the deal themselves and had to link me to the BB retentions dept to apply the agreed BB discounts. However the chat button was permanently on busy so I called instead and got through in about 5 minutes.
Here I spoke to a very polite young chap who asked me what had been agreed because of course the original agent didn't actually put in my notes what had been agreed (almost as if they were just trying to get me to sign up to the tv that they work on without caring what happens when I speak to BB). They did put in the notes the agreed waiving of the admin fee though. Anyway, after telling the chap what had been agreed he told m he couldn't immediately apply both the line rental and broadbant elements of the offer but would need to speak to his supervisor who he said would approve it because this happens a lot, but obviously at this stage I'm thinking there are going to be shenanigans. However with zero prompting he said, what I can do is offer you a better deal than what you agreed on Live Chat which was actually £12 in total off the combined BB and Line Rental, instead giving me £15 off.
So, a tip for those who are negotiating all 3 elements, if your agent says they can only do the tv part of it, call up the BB retentions team as opposed to using live chat because you may well get a better offer, otherwise make sure you at least get what you have actually agreed.
I've always found Sky really good, but it seems they've decided to start doing these things in a really haphazard way.0 -
I've been with Sky for 17 years and am at the end of contract. My new price went from £77.50 to £95.49. I rang today and said I would leave if I had to pay that much. I cancelled Spotify which was at the end of the free trial. The deal I got is entertainment £20, multiroom £12, HD £4, Sports HD £23 so I now pay £59 per month for 18 months. A total saving of £477 over the 18 months. Not bad.0

I'd say nothing is wrong and I'd be surprised if you've genuinely got just your TV package down to £27, let alone everything you listed above. There is absolutely no way you have got all that package you mentioned for £27.
Which link did you go through as Sky have so many different links you can go through?0 -

That's a good job although Entertainment on a 12/18 month contract is £22, not £30 and Sports HD is included for free now so not sure what's happening there. Glad to see you got the Admin fee waived as well.
Edit: \sigh, I knew it was coming but I've just checked and my rolling monthly discount goes up to full price in May. I might call early and start the merry go round again.0
