More from Sky....
"I have reviewed your account and the services you require, as you watch the F1 channel and currently receive this via the HD legacy package a change to the Entertainment mix would not be suitable for you.
Sky no longer offer the HD package you have with access to the F1 channel, to continue to view this service in the manner you are you have to keep the legacy package you have which you are paying £13.00 for.
If you were to cancel or change your package you would have to subscribe to the F1 sports channel to recieve this service which would cost £18 a month for this one channel.
The best offer available on your account at present is the 30% off offer that has been sent to you, meaning your monthly bill would be £36.45 for the Variety and HD packages. This price is subject to any applicable price increase as always as per your terms and conditions.
This offer would be a saving of over £100 during the course of the 12 months offer and means you have saved over £400 in the last 24 months with the offers that have been on your account previously.
If you would like to continue with the offer on your account then there is nothing more you need to do, if you would like to cancel the account please reply to this email and we will apply your required notice period to the account"
The only reason that I have HD is to watch legacy F1
I would prefer to keep F1 but not at this cost
I noticed that Sky were showing many F1 races on Sky Mix last year - which is available to ALL - so if this continues - then I can watch it - if not then I can't ??

I agree £18 is way too much.
Looks like you are rather stuck..0 -

I agree £18 is way too much for an individual channel.
Looks like you continue to be rather stuck if you want to see all the races ..0 -

I agree - also it does not fill me with confidence that Sky Sport mix will even be viewable by all sky subscribers ..
So it looks as if I will be paying £22 in future.0 -

For anyone getting Sky Q for the first time make sure you tell them to fit a Hybrid LNB when you place the order.
The Hybrid LNB does not cost any more and ensures you can use your dish with an old Sky HD box or a Freesat enabled TV if you cancel your Sky subscription.
If you do not get the Hybrid LNB your dish will only be good for Sky Q.0 -
The Hybrid LNB does not cost any more and ensures you can use your dish with an old Sky HD box or a Freesat enabled TV if you cancel your Sky subscription.
As already explained, the days when the decoders from cancelled subscriptions automatically became Freesat (from Sky) receivers are now numbered. Sky Q equipment is rental only and so Sky will want it back if the customer cancels.
So I'd say while it's a wise precaution to have the aforementioned hybrid LNB it's not essential since a new LNB is not expensive and is a relatively easy DIY fit (depending on how high the dish is situated).0
