Anyone had any success as a new customer? Did you call up or online chat?
  • As a new customer I originally called sky and accepted the advertised deal. Then when virgin gave me a counter offer I presented it to sky and asked them to beat it. I then phoned sky again after installation (and time to compare with my virgin installation before the disconnection date) and discussed things I was unhappy with. That then gave me the final deal that I have now.
  • Managed to get a 1TB box upgrade for just the £20 today with no change to my rolling monthly 50% Boxsets deal. The wife's happy she can record more than the 1 channel so I'm happy :)

No £10 admin fee either as I made it clear at the start I wasn't paying it.

I don't know if this is right or not but I was using Facebook Messenger and the first agent I was speaking to finished his shift and passed me on to someone else. The first agent wouldn't budge on either the £10 admin fee or the £12 "Sky Q experience" additional monthly cost. I was getting ready for putting a cancellation in and taking my chances but I re-stated what I was looking for to the second agent (no admin fee & no additional monthly costs) and they immediately agreed with no haggling. I'm wondering if I got an agent with no quota left for offers initially but the second agent (just started their shift) had fallbacks to use for their retention stats (and bonuses).

Hi, I re-negotiated my tv package and it was - entertainment 12 month contract, box sets 31 day rolling contract and HD 31 day rolling contract. I had to ring Sky to get my multi room added. I have just noticed on my account that they have put everything down as a 12 month contract. Wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if you contacted them to get it changed? many thanks

I've just renegotiated a new deal to stay on Sky. I get Entertainment with Sports in HD for £24pm for 12 months. Pretty happy with it as my previous deal for Original with Sports in SD was £20pm. Admin fee was not mentioned in the conversation.

UPDATE: I have managed to get unlimited broadband and calls/voicemail for £10.99 on a 12 months contract.

ok so something went wrong with my order, after 4 days of my bills not changing or not recieveing a confirmation email I phoned sky, apparently the order I made for my package though the https://www.sky.com/mydeal link never got processed/arrived on the sky end, spoke to a nice lady for about 30mins explaining the situation and what prices I was offered in this deal online (had a screenshot just incase) and she went away and asked her manager if they could match those prices and place my order there and then for me, was on hold for a while and she came back and thankfully the manager agreed and infact they offered me an even better price which was a bonus, so my deal is now full package in HD except the kids channels for £33.96 a month (online was quoting £36) so very happy with this, its a 12 month contract tho not rolling months

currently being bombarded with £11 a month offer for the Entertainment package after cancelling Sky altogether a month ago.

Using NowTV for Sports (I know this is part of Sky) as got a good deal on the season ticket offer, and also bought a season ticket with Eleven. Apart from a slight streaming delay via online sports, not missing Sky one bit.

trying to find out something about sky Q but appears everyone at sky gone home haha, someone here might know, been offered a good deal to upgrade to Q, £20 one off payment for a 2TB box and one mini box, however its an 18 month contract, I negotiated a new 12 month tv deal 2day for my bundles at a big discount, if I take this Q deal would my bundles then extend to 18 months at the reduced price or do you think after the 12 months my tv bundles will return to full price and id be stuck paying this for the remaining 6 months of the Q contract? hope what im asking makes sense
  • I cancelled my package, and went with virginmedia, the speeds are so much quicker, and the new v6 box is amazing. I got refered by a virgin customer so got £50 credited to my account, and now I get £50 for each person I refer. The service is so much better.

I talk to lots of Sky and Virgin customers at work, enjoy your £50 as the good service won't last.
