How did you start the conversation? don`t want to sound like I am begging them to keep me (even though I really want to stay with them) but want the best deal I can possibly get as do we all.0

I have read that if its online chat its `thinking of coming back to sky` could anyone tell me what department/number it is if you ring? thank you again :-)

CLick on link above, they are based in India , but in my experience can offer the best deal.
They have never mentioned previous chat that you've had either so wouldnt mention that.
Be polite and tell them you can't simply afford what you been offered so planning on moving to freesat ( you are not but shows you've thought about your options to them) but before buying a freesat box you wanted to see what the best they could offer for you to maybe stay before purchasing.0 -
Thank you, I`ll give it a go. Yesterday when I spoke to Sky to cancel they mentioned that I had already been on `chat` on Monday evening! wondering if they are now starting to keep more records each time you contact them?0

Doesn't matter if they keep records or not (I'd be surprised if they haven't always), just tell them you're phoning back to see if there's anything they can do to keep you. You have to make them believe that you will leave without a suitable deal, don't let them draw you into accepting things if they use long silences in the conversation. This is why I prefer chat or the messaging service.0 -

I'm just honest with them and explain that I'm only with Sky for the sports packages in HD and that the new (undiscounted) monthly sub. is too much for my pension to bear ( would have gone to over £900 pa). Keep the conversation friendly and let them go thru their various spiels HOWEVER frustrating you find it!:)
They try to chop bits off but soon realise that to keep me with Sports they need to make an offer for everything I currently have. The last two years I have got a satisfactory offer on the 1st attempt, altho' previous couple of times I actually scheduled cancellations.0 -
Thank you both, I`m going to try again via the link that has been posted earlier. Its just such a pain isn`t it, when most of us would be happy and carry on if they just left the cost as it was! Wish the chat wasn`t so time consuming.0

Just checked on the my deal page with Sky and see I am being offered
Entertainment £13 12 month minimum contract
Box Sets £1 31 day rolling
HD £1 31 day rolling
There seems to be no mention of the £10 admin fee or will this appear if I decided to go ahead? If I went onto chat would I most probably incur this. Also would you happen to know if I went for this offer what happens about the `multi room £12` I currently have as would want to continue this and is isn`t mentioned?
You`ve all be brilliant with your help and advice so far, thank you again0 -

I don't think they take the £10 admin fee when using the online service. You should be able to add the multiroom before checkout, if not then call them, they'll never turn down someone upgrading.0 -
Just ticked the boxes to see and the next box is check-out no mention of multi room, so not pressing that button....decisions decisions Just a bit frightened if I speak to them they will not honour those prices (I do have them screenshot) and I will be charged £10 grrrr0
