Yep, that is exactly what i told him.
I've helped negotiate for a few people back in the day when you could get 60% off and £100 credit , but those days seem long gone.
So told him to aim for the £55 mark when he speak to retentions on the live chat as reckon that can be possible.
Been scrolling back and not seen much better from people who have negotiated for Sky Q and the full pack!0 -
I tried online chat last night...2 hours later was offered:
Entertainment £20
Free Boxsets just for today
Multi-screen £12
Fibre BB unlimited £15
Line rental £18.99
Total £65.99 plus £10 admin charge (plus I also have talk unlimited or whatever its called and he seemed to forge that so another £8)
or without Boxsets he could do Entertainment for £15 bringing it down to £60.99 again forgetting the £8)
Paying £54.10, due to increase to £77.03 in October and then £82.49.
If he had offered entertainment at £11 would have agreed.0 -
I put in my cancellation notice for the TV early last week. Spoke to them Friday about reducing my broadband costs and they wanted to discuss the TV cancellation (probably not surprising). Didnt really pay much attention to the TV part of the deal they offered but i think it was 20 for basic plus £1 each for HD, kids and boxsets so not too bad. The totally pathetic broadband discount they offered (not even matching a new customer) plus the £10 admin charge though put me right off so i told them to shove it. Now arranged a transfer of broadband to Now broadband.
Would probably stay with them for TV (if i get slightly better than above) but already arranged the BB transfer now and paid the connection fee and router P&P so they have lost out on that one. No contact from them either way yet.0 -

So my friend put in his cancellation and we just went on "thinking about coming back to sky" chat and accepted the following:
Entertainment £11
Boxset £1
HD pack £1
Sports and Cinema £19
Sports Hd £2
Sky Q Multiroom £12
£46 a month0 -

Have just rung to cancel TV (didn`t cancel the BB on advice from here) was put through to retentions. They knew I had spoken on online chat on Monday! and the best he could do was:
Ent £15
Multi room £12
Fibre Unlim £15
Line Rental £18.99
Calls anytime £8.00 total £68.99 (currently £54.10 which will
increase to £82.49)
As they now seem to have records of everything is it still worth contacting them again in a few weeks by chat or phone or should I just now sit it out and hope for something better than what has been offered?
Thank you0 -

Definitely worth a call or live chat especially if you've scheduled a cancellation.0 -
Thanks for replying. Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do you start the conversation to stay if a cancellation is scheduled? I have read that if its online chat its `thinking of coming back to sky` could anyone tell me what department/number it is if you ring? thank you again :-)0

I have spoken with the "winback team" both on the phone and on live chat. Live chat have a slightly better offer.
Use this link: https://www.sky.com/live-chat/comeback
You should get your entertainment package down to £11 a month with live chat. They may initially offer £15, but if you persist and mention £11 a month, they'll offer it. I was offered it on my first go, but some had to ask.0 -

I've not had to use it for awhile but presuming it's still asking for your reason for the call then "winback" or "retentions" should get you to the correct department.0
