Hi,
I’ve been with sky for over 5years in current property and 10 years in previous.
Have 2tb HD box with kids, cinema, HD channels, entertainment and box sets with talk international and broadband unlimited currently on rolling contract and paying £62 with discounts.
Was informed discounts expire end of sept. Tried retention’s and was offered NOTHING. Then tried upselling me sky Q and seeing as I’ve had no end of problems with my HD box breaking down and losing all my planner and the box malfunctioning with a broken hard drive, I decided to go with the SkyQ at £73 with same items on new contract, but now everytime I check billing is says £75 plus £12 multiroom charge to be added plus £40 installation fee for 2tb skyQ.
They said in retention’s the discounts will be applied once skyQ is installed (tomorrow), but if the discounts don’t get applied am I then stuck with sky? Ie something in terms and conditions about cooling off period expiring on installation of skyQ. I’m not au fair with these things....should I just cancel and see what is offered then?
Thanks

If i'm willing to upgrade to Sky Q with everything, Sports movies entertainment etc and the fastest fibre what should I be aiming for.
I had been paying £45 for full package no internet and this price doubled so my account is now in shutdown.
But willing to negotiate.0 -
So I've managed to get Sky Q Entertainment, movies, sports, HD, boxsets, kids and multiscreen for £45/month on a 12 month contract. This was 2 weeks after disconnection... really happy with that!0

Hi
Do you know if you could still use any of the functionality of the sky box once you disconnected? Ours is set to disconnect in the next week or so and we haven’t had any deals worth considering. We went through all our recordings last night and there was only 1 or 2 programs from sky all the rest are free view channels anyway so we are not thinking to actually go without sky for a while and see if we do miss it. But we may need to buy something else for recording.
Thanks0 -
Typo in the above

Nope, unless you want to pay Sky to enable the recording facilities and you can probably get an Entertainment sub for the same money. Any Sky channel recordings will be encrypted anyway and won't play without a subscription.0 -
Hi,
I've just cancelled Sky Q, after 2 months of problems trying to get it installed in my flat. I got a good offer of £25 for Entertainment, HD, Box Sets and Cinema through Love Digital.
I have previously had Sky+HD which worked fine, however being in a flat with just a single feed I can only watch/record one show at a time. I asked cancellations if they could offer a reduced price if I switched to Sky+HD, but they couldn't so I went ahead and cancelled.
I'm in 2 minds whether to go for Now TV, or to see if I could get a better "Winback" deal with Sky. I am a bit picky on picture quality and I know Now TV only streams at 720p instead of Full 1080p HD. I understand they are looking to go Full HD next year and there's talk of Sky launching another "dishless" service so not sure whether to hold out for that!

Friend just accepted a new offer from sky after asking to cancel
Sky Q
Boxset package

Movies
sports and normal channels all in HD

Don't upset your friend but if there's no BB included in that price then I've just ran it through as a new customer and it comes to £55 a month with a one off £20 fee. On paper it looks like it should be £62 a month but it applies some hidden discount for some reason.0
