When you get that message have you tried clicking on "Left Sky in the last 12 months" option? That should be under Shop, then Offers.

Not sure if that section only becomes active once you are actually disconnected, but it's worth a shot! :)

Yes, I did try that link but after it is clicked it changes to ineligible. Makes sense as, technically, I haven't left Sky so probably only becomes usable once disconnected

Just gone through my annual haggle for Sky TV, managed to get full TV package including HD for £37/mth on 12 month contract. Upgraded to Skq Q multi-room for £12/mth (although this is on 18mth contract which is annoying) so £49 all in - there was a one-off £20 charge for Sky Q but happy with that given the deal.

What has annoyed me though is this £10 admin fee - what's that all about. Was never mentioned to me in the online chat and has just appeared??

Just for info I cancelled giving 31 days notice and declined initial offers, then visited sky.com/mydeal and you get the best offers here.

Can't attach image as new user but deal was for all TV packages.

I tried the haggling approach and gave notice to cancel the other day via the messenger/chat facility. That sky.com/mydeal link is only giving me £52 per month for full package on Sky HD(not Q).

There are different offers on the Sky box in the account section (£15 for Entertainment but no mention of cost of other packs) and on the main page of the Sky website (£30 for Sports and Cinema for 12 months but again no details on cost of other packs).

When you said you declined the initial offers was that offers you were given whilst on the phone/in chat or the ones shown on the website/sky box? If the latter, how did you decline them - just ignored them or contacted them and told them they were not good enough?

Finally, how long after you gave notice to cancel did you check the deal on sky.com/mydeal? I only gave notice on Sunday so perhaps I need to wait a little longer
  • Hello I'm days away from my usual Sky Tv annual haggle which has been successful in every one of the last 10 years.
This year looks like it will be a little odd as I believe my account is set up with legacy packages.
If I detail what I currently have that are all 50% discounted (Except for Q Multiscreen and my version of UHD) , could someone plot out with 50% discounts how it might all look this year.
Just want to know if the discounting structure/packages will get me down to where I currently am or even better. Many Thanks
    BOX SETS : £39.50 discount -£19.75
SKY SPORTS COMPLETE PACK : £28 discount -£14
    SKY CINEMA : £10 discount -£5
HD BASIC : Free (Pretty sure this was standard and not a discount)
    SKY SPORTS HD : £6.00
    SKY Q MULTISCREEN £12.00
    SEE IT FIRST : Free

    Bill Total £95.50
    Discounts £38.75
    Total £56.75

Not sure what exactly you're asking there but Boxsets (the old legacy package that I'm on as well) includes HD as standard (not Sports HD obviously).

I gave notice to cancel Sky HD (not Q) yesterday and have seen one offer in the notifications section of the My Sky app.

Entertainment £20 per month on 12 month contract with Sports & Cinema (£27 per month), HD pack (£1), Box Sets (£1) and Sports HD (£2) with those bits being on rolling 31 day contracts for a total of £51 per month. Compared to current price of £84.50, that's obviously better but from reading some of this thread there are better offers out there.

There is also another offer via the Account section through the Sky HD box but that just mentions Entertainment @ £15 per month and no mention of the prices of any other elements. Just a 'Take this offer' button which I don't particularly want to press if it commits me to that offer! Can any that have been down this route recently tell me if there is a further screen after that 'Take this offer' button where you can add other packs to the deal?

Similarly, when logging in to the Sky website there is an 'Exclusively for you' section that mentions keep Sports and Cinema @ £30 per month for 12 months but again it doesn't give details about prices for other packs and there is just a 'Take this offer' button which again, I don't want to click for fear of committing to an offer with no way of backing out!

The My Offers section just comes up with an error about being Unable to Proceed and to call Sky.

So far, the only offer that shows me the full details of all of the packs I am interested in is the one accessed through the My Sky app.

How long are these offers likely to stay available and, seeing as I am only 1 day into the cancellation notice period, are other offers going to turn up before turn off day?

I cancelled on Sunday and have similar offer. Im holding out for more! Plus i have one multiroom and no offer on that yet.
Normally they ring me within the last week before switch off, so will hold off worrying till then!

Whatever you do, do not go passed the page where it says 'Take this offer' on the Keep Sports and Cinema for £30 for 12 months 'Exclusively for you'. I did that thinking it would give me a chance to review the full package cost but no, it just said 'thanks for staying with Sky'!

I quickly managed to get on live chat and explained what happened and they offered the following on 12 months Sky HD:

    Entertainment £15
    Sports & Cinema £19
    HD £1
    Box Sets £1
    Sports HD £2

They started off with £42 + the £10 admin fee but when I said I was happy with that apart from the admin fee they came back with £38 + the £10 fee which is what I accepted.

Unfortunately, taking that initial Sports + Cinema offer means that I have to wait a couple of days for the billing system to catch up and sort itself out so not 100% happy, yet

That £38 above plus £12 for multiroom is I think what I am looking for this year.
Even the £42 would be in line with my current costs.
See my current post a few above.
Anyone know if discounting is done differently for Q than for HD ?

Leave it a few weeks, I got called twice a day after initial week then kept checking sky.com/mydeal and towards the end got a decent deal. Don't accept this deal, screenshot it then go through Online Chat to review whole package. State that you have an offer online can they match and sorted Multiform and Broadband out too if applicable. The online chat peeps have the facility for you to upload screenshots etc so can verify any offers you have seen!

I've cancelled and just after the entertainment pack.

The best they so far have offered me is £15 a month for 12 months.

Anyone managed to negotiate better than this lately?
