Unless i am reading this wrong i make it to be £40 per month and not £20 as in earlier posts.

Basically just paying £20 for Sky Sports with everything else discounted to zero, pretty damned good deal.
  • Currently paying £31.60 for Box Sets, HD and Kids (not Sky Q). Found out a colleague is getting the full package (not Sky Q but over £90 a month full price) for £33 on a 60% offer that has been automatically extended for 18 months so have given notice to cancel. Offered full package for £53 on cancellation call as the best she could do so proceeded to cancel.
Just had a call and have just been offered £18 for current package, £37 for entertainment and sports or £45 for full package, all declined.
I’m resigned to leaving now and have told them I don’t like their unclear pricing structure and that because I know what my colleague pays I’d only consider £35 or less for full package. I think the penny finally dropped that it doesn’t matter whether I’ll use all the channels (trying to take kids off to remove cost etc.), I want the price they can extend for 18 months to my colleague!

In my experience, the Sky customer service people always deny that these discounted deals exist :rotfl:
  • Just gone through my annual haggle for Sky TV, managed to get full TV package including HD for £37/mth on 12 month contract. Upgraded to Skq Q multi-room for £12/mth (although this is on 18mth contract which is annoying) so £49 all in - there was a one-off £20 charge for Sky Q but happy with that given the deal.

What has annoyed me though is this £10 admin fee - what's that all about. Was never mentioned to me in the online chat and has just appeared??

Just for info I cancelled giving 31 days notice and declined initial offers, then visited sky.com/mydeal and you get the best offers here.

Can't attach image as new user but deal was for all TV packages.

If they never mentioned it then complain and get it refunded.

Yes I have screen shots of the chat, they will not send me the transcript so have raised a complaint - seems petty but it's more principle for me.

Re: £20 installation fees and £10 admin fees...just refuse to pay and be prepared to hang up. They are there to be waived, you think a sales person is going to lose a contract based on that?

I accepted the £20 fee for Sky Q as got the 2Tb box and an additional mini box for nothing, they did come down from £60!!

No mention about the admin fee, i've tried to get it removed but apparently it's automatically added by the system and they have no means to credit it. That's from 3 different advisors now, so have a raised a formal complaint.

Still, had you refusesd to pay it, they *would* have let you off. No way should you pay the admin fee either
