Hi Sky just offered me a new deal after a lot of work managed to get this down to a very good deal - though when i took it out it went up £3 by th next day - i wasnt told that the offer could change. So i still continued as deal was still not bad, but as i also was offered SKY q for £65 main box and £20 for mini box i was passed to the SKY Q team whom turn round and said we can t do that for that price! I have done this all via FB Messenger as this is the only chat service SKY provide now! but i i'm now waiting for someone to get back to me on this! Question can they (SKY) change the deal after you accept?
Why do you think FB Messenger is the only option for contact?

Sky are not wanting to play ball with me at all this year :-( offered me same package for £5 more a month. I!!!8217;ve 3 days left then that!!!8217;s it. Do sky have better offers after the cancellation has actually happened? Or am I better going elsewhere? I don!!!8217;t have sky q - nor do I want it either as I prefer the hd box. I think I have hurt their feelings by switching to virgin for my broadband.0

Was on 60% off and had all normal channels + movies + hd for £23. Looks like they cant match again that so i've put in my cancellation. I did get a letter last month giving me 40% off without having to call in to renew but cant justify the extra £145 for the year.
I've hooked up an old humax freesat box and other than missing love island in HD (no itv2 hd) i dont really think i'll notice.0 -
All our discounts were about to come to an end, leaving us with the 'offer' of:
Sky Q Entertainment, HD and box sets: £33.80
Cinema: £15.30
Multiscreen: £12
Line rental: £17.10
UL Fibre: £16
Total: £94.20
We tried on the phone, but in the end we went via webchat. We actually divided up TV and Broadband, doing them in separate chats.
The deal we got for TV (by threatening to cancel, but not cancelling) was:
Sky Q Entertainment: £20
Kids: £1
HD: £1
Cinema: £10
Multiscreen: £12
And for broadband:
Line rental: £13.99
UL Fibre: £9.01
Total: £67 per month
All of the above is on a 12 month contract and all discounts last for 12 months.
For us, that's a saving of £27.20 per month, or 31% overall discount. I think if we had actually cancelled we might have got a further £6 or £7 off the TV package, but we were happy with the price/effort ratio.0 -

It's interesting to see you got a 12 month contract for Sky Q.
I thought they only did 18 month contracts for Q.0 -
Sky told me that they no longer do 12 month contracts for ANYTHING0

you must always cancel and give your notice before going through the retentions department, better deals are found this way"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Just had our contract lapse after giving notice in the hope of getting a deal similar to what we were on - best they could do was the same package for an additional £5pm!
Didn't even get a callback during the 30 days notice period either0 -

I would contact them a few times a week once notice given, even trying online chat as well. Don't wait for them"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

If you've told them you don't want marketing calls in the past you won't get any callbacks. What was your package and price out of interest? Have you tried online at the "left Sky in the last 12 months" page?0
