Even if you change supplier you DON'T cancel with your present one. Let the new supplier manage it for you.

I get the impression that all the suppliers are much less keen to offer big discounts to keep apparently leaving customers at the moment.

When I left Talktalk, it was the first time for over 5 years that they had increased rather than decreased my bill when prompted. When I asked about loyalty bonuses (that had been quoted to me previously), I was told no.

Talktalk would not budge on the price this year so I left.

As soon as they found out I was going they practically said name your price.

Trouble was I had already paid line rental in advance to the new supplier so there was no going back.
  • Sorry - I forgot to reply.
    I ended up getting:
    - Entertainment Package
    - HD
    - Sky Q 2TB Box
    - Hybrid LNB (this was the most difficult to get!)

£20pcm plus £30 setup (to include dish, bracket, etc).

What was this like compared to others?

My sky tv subscription is finishing on the 11/6 been on chat loads of times, best I have been offered is the full package for £35 per month. I have paid £24 per month for last 12 months (75% off) I refused offer.

Here's what I got in the end:-
    Sky Entertainment
    Sky HD
All Sky Sports Channels (in HD)
    £36/month for 18 months
I was previously paying £33.75 (with boxsets which I've never watched). So, better than the £72/month it was going up to.
Still time for me to cancel it completely though ...

Over 19 years as a Sky customer, I have been on Sky Q for a while now but my bills were creeping up, just been offered

    Sky Entertainment
    Sky Box sets
    Sky HD
    Broadband U/L Fibre
    Anytime Phone with Line Rental
They Removed Sky Q Multiscreen (I dont really use it, normally £12)

    £53.99 pm

    How does this compare?

Haggled a bit more and got it down to £48.99

That is possibly the best offer for Sky Q I`ve seen.

I had free line rental and regular unlimited broadband for 11.01 and they just extended it today without haggling on the phone for another year, saved me some time.

They renewed our TV deal which was 60% off for another year and this was done automatically by email a few months back

I've been with Sky for over 7 years. I was paying - Sky Entertainment £23.50, and Broadband Unlimited £30, with a Total £53.50

After cancelling and then contacting the Sky Chat team I received this offer:

Sky Entertainment £11 a month for 18 months

Sky Fibre Unlimited average £21.33 a month for 18 months
    - Fibre £9.01 a month for 18 months, reduced from £20
    - Line rental £8.99 for 12 months and then standard £18.99 for 6 months
    - Total £18 for 12 months and then £28 for 6 months

Total Sky TV and Fibre upgrade £32.33 for 18 months

I tried to get the line rental offer for the full 18 month contract, I tried to shorten the contract to 12 months, and I tried to get £50 credit but I did not succeed.
