I was offered 50% when i called but said no.

It looks like this year is harder to get a deal than last few years.

50% off looks like a decent deal to me...

If they are offering 50% off without even trying then there is more in the tank after it all switches off.

You would think it was but that was just the tv.
The discount is not for multiscreen and they would not budge when i put in the cancel request.
Below is what i thought they had offered me when i was on my cancel request live chat..
Well after my 60% discount mess up on Sky's part( i have posted on here) due to the "new" Sports Complete package being added in August and eventually getting sorted a few days ago i live chatted today and the result was 50% variety, cinema and sports for 18 months on 18 month contract and the £10 money making admin for Sky's pension fund. I thought that was only for phone calls and not for live chat.
I thought about the offer long and hard and after 3 secs said no and now i am in my 31 days to the end.
Checked mysky and i now have 30% discount showing.

I have checked my chat log from Sky when put in to cancel and the 50% discount was only for 12 months on a 18 month contract.

KTF that 50% offer was in the live chat i had when i cancelled and after that i have only been offered 30% off for 12 months on 12 month contract on mysky, sky box and sky app.
I will now wait and see if Sky call me in the next few weeks.

My 60% off deal should end on Dec 26th. Usually call and cancel 30 days before.

But just noticed on future bills that the discounted price is still running upto Feb 2018, that's as far it tells you anyway.

Is there anybody else that's coming to the end of a deal and got the same? I know a month or so ago I had a look at my future bills and the price showed an increase for my December bill onward. Strange!

Probably will keep an eye on it and leave it running

My deal which is £20 a month for the full package has been extended for another 12 months, I’ve also had a letter confirming this
  • I have double checked the email I had confirming the cancellation. The advisor told me that it would be cancelled on the 17th November. The email says 18th. Does this make much difference?

I have Sky Q multiroom with Variety and Box Sets. First year contract is just up and I spoke to Retentions who offered a reduction from £50 a month to £43 a month for a new 18 month contract, so 14% discount, absolute rubbish. Virgin Media have just flood wired the area for Fibre to the home so I'll see what they're offering

  • I have tried going to VM for a quote and the new customer deals aren't that great but for what you want it may be worth trying.

My 60% discount is due to end early Feb and having checked my future bill for most of that month, it appears my discounts have also been extended, but only for the Sky Sports pack (£11.00 instead of £27.50) and the HD pack (£2.40 instead of £6.00).

However, I appear to have lost the discount on Box Sets which reverts to its full price of £38.00, having being £15.20 per month.

Looks like I'll be citing billing issues again when I next call them to initiate a cancellation process.
  • I was exactly the same.

We had a deal for 60% off Boxsets, Sky Sports and Sports HD pack last year, with 50% off 1 Multiscreen.

We received a letter from Sky advising that we would keep "our existing discounts" for another year as a loyal customer. My future bills didn't look right, so I called up only to be told that it was only the Sky Sports pack and HD pack discounts that would remain, and that both the Box Sets bundle and Multiscreen would revert to full price.

Obviously I declined and cancelled, only to be offered 50% off everything on Live Chat. Still paying a little more than we did last year (~£6) but we do use Sky extensively and are quite invested in the ecosystem.
