Virgin Media retention deals (post your haggling successes)

I just joined Virgin BB with M125 on the weekend, and saw an advert for their Black Friday deals.

Called them up to see if I could switch, put through 3 departments (cold transferred) and was told to cancel and sign up as a new customer, 7 day cancellation as I’m in the cooling off period. 

I want to get the M250 deal, wondering if someone will call me back, but I doubt it.

I'm out of contract by a couple of weeks, so phoned the outbound retentions number 0203 743 6947.
Got straight through to someone who straight away offered Volt 250, landline and anytime calls for £20 PM.
Or if I didn't want the landline the price would be £18 PM.
2 year contract, which goes up to £24 April 2026, and then up to £28 April 2027.
He also threw in a new hub 5 to replace my ageing hub 3.
All pretty painless and didn't even have to give 30 days notice of cancellation, happy days.
