I got 1gb speed broadband, sky sports hd, tnt sports ultra hd,sky cinema hd, kids pack, mega tv, anytime calls, extra tv box, Netflix standard for £63 a month

Just got all of the above for £44 a month, increasing to £48 in April 2026 and £52 in April 2027.

I was paying £63 for the same up to now so really happy with that.

This is a 2 year contract - assume this is standard now? Previously it was always 18 months.
Did you have to cancel first and wait for them to contact?
Yes - phoned and cancelled on the Monday and rejected anything they offered me (nothing sub £100).

Outbound retentions called me yesterday and offered that.

That still seems to be the way to get really good deals. Maybe 2 year contracts are the way they're going now, with all the competition hotting up.
A 2 year contract gives them the opportunity to load it with 2 price increases, which is why many companies are following suit.

Yes haggling with us once every 2 years is better than 18 months for them

My Volt 250 contract was up for renewal in January. Thought I'd try outbound retentions to see what they could do. Didn't threaten to leave but was offered £18 p/m straight away. Quite happy with that, even with the April increases.

Please remind me, is outbound retentions when you call them or they call you?

Many thanks for that Lightchop. It gives me more options when the time comes to re-negotiate a new deal with them.
