I did the cancel trick 8 days ago (31 days before contract ends on 3 March).  The only word from VM is the email saying cheerio and that the prepaid packaging for the equipment return is on the way.  Two questions:
    1. Has the leave manoeuvre not worked this time?
    2. If so, can I reverse the cancellation right up until 2 March?

    1. Probably not. There is plenty of time for them to contact you. Ensure that the settings on your account are not preventing them getting in touch.

    2. Yes you can always cancel the cancellation but the deal might not be the best.

Just had terrible experience trying to get a new contract. I've been with vm for 20+ years, never had many problems. Last two renewals have been okay. So (with volt) 1gb BB, 'maxit?' tv , phone , sky movies/sky sports. 69 a month.
Renewal offer was 76 ( or 75 depending on where you looked on the webpage.) so hadn't bothered as "I'll just ring to sort a better deal and I'll remove stuff to make it cheaper".
Phoned up , then webchat, only they "can't" offer me any less than 96, in fact 'retentions' was offering 114 which was a great deal because its normally 199 (!!!!!!?). I'm astonished, they refused to even quote me any downgrade prices, (which I cant access via the website). The only useful info was the advice to 'take the offer, then cancel in the 14day cooldown', which I'm tempted by... Talking about leaving, they just offered a "77 quid broadband only" deal. (I can try grain locally at about 30quid for 900mb so thats hardly tempting..)

I've clicked the renewal , its more than I want to pay but feel like I'm over a barrel..
Okay, anyone got a good voip phone company?
    .
(I'd also forgot about the whole , bill a month in advance, so I've already paid my insane out of contract price... )

I am currently now out of contract with VM.

I tried to speak with them last week on the chat, but lost the connection.

Since then I contacted them again today about it. Was on the chat for 3 hours 🙈 and at the end got no where.

My current deal was £51 for the bigger volt bundle  decent broadband speed, tnt sports and a box for another room.

They wouldn't budge from £88 and they were giving me less of everything for more money.

I then threatened them with moving to sky. He's now put through a cancellation as I thought I may as well try and go through with it for a couple of days in hope they give me a better offer.

I'm now thinking I don't know how to haggle in order to pay about the same price for the same thing. It's very frustrating

Get yourself an equivalent price from Sky, BT etc and use that.  What normally happens is that someone from Virgin will call you back for a chat and make you a better offer than that £88.  It’s then up to you whether you accept it or not..  in your case I would just say it’s a massive jump in cost that I am struggling to justify paying at the moment.  Make sure your marketing preferences are set so that can call you.   Remember you have 31 days notice period so if you want to cancel your cancellation at any point you can do

We are moving home on the 1st April.
Would it be the right time to haggle a new contract or just keep what we have until 4th June 2025 then do it. I believe when moving you have these two options.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Has anyone done a retention deal recently for something similar to the package below.  I've already given in my notice and had a few calls from outbound retentions.

M250 Broadband (with Volt) - Although no longer have an O2 sim
Basic TV package (with V6 TiVo)
    Talk Weekend

The best price I have been offered was £30.97 per month, but going up to £34.47 this April, and then up to £37.97 in April 2026.  This is the package I am already on and have been paying £26.00 - last went up to £28.28.

Interested in hearing what deals people have managed to get for the same or something similar.

It's an odd offer from an outbound call, never known them to come up with anything other than whole numbers. Also any deal agreed now would have no April 25 price rise.

Lots of Reddit reports last week of M250 BB only for ~£22. Freeview TV nominal value zero, so the landline is effectively ~£9/month on that offer.

I've just renewed the same package for £33.47. It will rise by £3.50 April 26.
