Well, in the past, I've received a call from outbound either the following day from cancelling, or the day after. Nothing as yet after cancelling on the 2nd. How long have people waited before receiving a call?
I cancelled on the 2nd as well and haven’t heard anything either. Hoping to get the hub5 if I do end up renewing. Got until 1st feb so not worried yet. They’re probably busy catching up with the Christmas backlog.

My dad contract coming to end soon, he got online offer to renew at exactly same price as he has been paying which I thought was pretty good, so get doesn’t have to go through the usual rigmarole of cancelling and waiting for callback.  My mate is paying £17.40 for 125 BB with volt up to 250, that runs out in Feb.  His online offer is £18.27 which isn’t too bad either

I did the cancellation on December 24th (because it was going to be closed when it was 30 days notice before contract end).

    No phone call.

Same with a colleague who does this very dance with me every 18 months. The problem VM have now is because they arent calling people will actually go through with the disconnection, I am about to pull the trigger on Sky full fiber, and when I do I will have zero interest in VM offering anything...

Where did the online offer come from? Is it a link they send?

Its in your virgin media account, you will see a link to your bills, contract and offers.

The offer they gave me was like for like but I know that it doesnt include TNT sports anymore so thats why I want the full cancellation route this time.

Ah, I can't seem to find anything that says that. I've got view bill and view contract but no offers link.

Once you put cancellation notice in, the online offer within your account disappears. I went through the same process before Christmas. If you cancel the notice, a new offer will come back in your account after a few days, but it will have increased from the first offer.

Indeed - the offer in my account was £19.20, which has now disappeared.

Not sure why you didn’t accept that, you will now be paying a higher amount

Well, I assumed I would be called back by outbound, as has happened for a number of years. Seems they have changed how they operate now, and I've not received a call.
I do have mobile internet, tethered via my phone, which I've had to resort to on a number of occasions when VM has gone down. I may explore mobile internet further, as I'm in a good coverage area (mast is just up the road). Anyone recently received a call from outbound?
