They called back from an 020 number but literally got out ‘this is virgin media’ before it cut off again. Called that number back and it just says VM tried to call you etc.victor2 said:Rev said:Retentions called half an hour ago. The call got cut off and they e not called back. God that annoys me no end. Hate when that happens. There’s no number to call them back is there? If you have caller display or use 1471 (and there's been no calls since), it might show a number. IME it's always been from a mobile number. One even told me I could call him back on that number if needs be.If the number was withheld, you're out of luck and better hope for a follow-up call...
I’ve so far had four calls all of which have cut off instantly upon saying hello.Arte you receiving other calls OK? Obvious thing to check, but you want to be sure it's not a fault at your end.Either way, try calling them on 150 (from a VM line) and report a fault. They'll probably go through the usual checking and confirm your line is OK, but you never know, they might put you through to someone who can help regarding an offer, or give you a different number to call.I’m receiving calls fine. I did have several people call me to check it wasn’t a fault my end.Had two more calls this morning that cut off instantly. Strange. Then finally one that didn’t, offered 250mb for £19 350mb for £25 or 500 for £31.I’d been paying £25 for 500mb so not amazing but went for the 350mb as I’ve not felt much difference with the 500 over the 350. And £25 is cheaper than going elsewhere plus it saves me the hassle of changing.Sigless2 -
That time again for me too...
Agreed £17 for M125 only back in 2023. The best inbound could offer me was £20 for the same. Disagreed and put my 30 day cancellation notice in. What deals are people getting for just B/B alone?0 -
I'm in a similar position. Was on £17 last time and then on £18.28 since following the April increase. Now due for a new deal at the end of the month.staffsuk said:That time again for me too...

Yup - mine was increased to £18.28, and my most recent bill was just over £32, apparently to taking into account the date of my contract ending which is half way through this month. Will update on any communication.BigBlueSky said:I'm in a similar position. Was on £17 last time and then on £18.28 since following the April increase. I'm very interested to see what others have been getting recently too. Being offered just over £20 on the online account if I renew but want better than that 😄staffsuk said:

I give my 30 day notice today, offered me same package without TNT sports for £118 from £73. For the cheek of that offer, I will be joining Youfibre and drop TV all together with TV License and just use streaming services.0

It'll be interesting what you achieve. I got my M125 for £19 per month. However have also seen some on this forum obtain this for £18 and even some get M250 for £17/18.BigBlueSky said:

Seems luck of the draw and also depends on if you have good options. I'm in an area with little choice from Openreach and slower speeds than from Virgin, but if you have good local competition then I would assume Virgin need to sharpen their pencils!1 -
Well, in the past, I've received a call from outbound either the following day from cancelling, or the day after. Nothing as yet after cancelling on the 2nd. How long have people waited before receiving a call?0
-
I cancelled around same time, but not heard a peep from Virgin and I've signed up to Youfibre. I am kind of disappointment because I've been waiting for the phone call to tell them to stick it.staffsuk said:Well, in the past, I've received a call from outbound either the following day from cancelling, or the day after. Maybe "management" has decided the outbound retentions team isn't bringing in enough profit, when there are plenty of customers who just automatically renew and keep the cash rolling in...
