Virgin Media retention deals (post your haggling successes)

Also just re contracted with retentions. Was on Maxit TV, with 350 (volt) broadband, Sky sports HD and TNT sports for £70.23
Kept same deal for £67.11 per month which I’m happy with and should mean when price rises in April will be paying around the same as now. Probably others will get a better deal but I didn’t want to cancel and wait for the call back due to lack of time. Also there seem to be less deals with TNT sports and I needed to keep that.1 -

Put cancellation in yesterday, now playing the waiting game.0

I did have M125 broadband,
Then 2 days later I got a call from outbound retentions offering £19 for 18 months (with normal annual price rises as expected). Now I'm feeling better. I was on M50 & weekend chatter for £19.58 a month, but have been tempted by a new service in the area, so went on live chat to see what's on offer.Came away with M125 & weekend chatter for £18 a month. Couldn't escape next April's rise though.0 -

Was paying £35.90 for M250 and anytime chatter. Don't need the chatter any more, but they offered the same price and said it was more if they took the anytime off! Told them that wasn't acceptable and they put me through to "Customer Related Team". I was prepared to give notice, but they said they'd do the same for £29.90, which I accepted in preference to going through giving notice and waiting for retentions to call me. Again, they said it was more with just weekend chatter instead of anytime, because it was a bundle offer.Could probably have got a better deal by giving notice, but Christmas is coming and I don't want the hassle if I'm honest! At least this new contract will end in 18 months in the summer.

Have been out of contract for a couple of months and didn't realised. Was paying £47.86 for M250 broadband. Checked online and they were offering me a renewal contract at £33.50 per month. Super quick 2 min call where I asked if there was anything they could do on price before I switched elsewhere. Got that down to £27 for 18 months. Possibly could have haggled for more, but I appreciated the ease of not needing to switch and just want to get it done. Save nearly £400 over the contracted duration so happy with the outcome.1

I'm paying £33 with landline, same speed as you.
You did well.
I was hampered and worried about the 26th Dec expiry date this time.
Next time, I'm putting the notice in and waiting for 30 days0 -
Just agreed M250 broadband for £17 a month. Ideally wanted a deal on my tv package but it wasn’t good so have settled for the broadband only.1
