    Usually £17 to £20
    • M100 Fibre broadband
    • Virgin TV V6 Box, Mixit TV (Basic TV package)
    • Phone with Talk Weekends (I don't use it, but it's cheaper with it!)

    £38/month - 18 month contract.

Could I have got more off? Probably but not without more calls to/from Virgin! Last time I negotiated I got them to come down on the previous price, so that's twice I've managed price reductions.
The initial "best offer" was £41, but I said was there anything they could do with that and the agent offered me the additional £3/month off as she could see I had been with them for 13 years. £36/year less for a 5 second question.

Old 18 month contract ending on 6th October (was £51):
    M350
    Maxit TV 360
    Talk weekends

After a chat with someone and then retentions, ended with:
    M200 (down a tier)
    Maxit TV 360
    Talk weekends
£45 per month for 18 months

We all know the charade and hoops to go through but happy with the end result. I set a target of under £60 so for a slightly slower broadband speed I was well chuffed. They offered £59 for the original package if anyone is interested.

Called through this morning to give notice.

Currently on 200mb was initially offered £44 + £6 o2 sim, declined and put through to retentions as this meant im getting100mb with Volt doubled to 200mb.

Retentions offered 200mb at £34 then down to £28 or 350mb at £34. Gave notice and waiting for outbounds to call.

Hoping to get 350 or 500 under £30.

I am on Volt200 at £22.50 going up to £46. Called cancellation and was offered £23 18 months contract straight away by a nice lady. I didn't push any further as 0.5 increase is well below the current inflation.

Had call back from outbound retention this morning. They offered me 200 or 300 for £24 or 500 for £28.

Signed up for another 18 months.

Been on the same package since 2018 with a few price rises since then.
Is this a good price or am I being taken for a mug...!?

    • Talk Weekends
